On Monday, while I crafted to the sounds of Hurricane Sandy blowing outside my window, I made two of these cards. They've helped me use up some paper scraps.
I challenged myself to use things from the $1.00 Scrap Bags I get from my Stampin' Up! demo. These patterned paper strips came with the pinked edges. I lined them up on a scrap of Old Olive cardstock so that the negative areas resulted in little triangles.
I had to laugh at myself as I made these cards. Don't most of us have never-ending piles of scraps from card-making or scrapbooking? And here I am, buying bags of.....more scraps. LOL I must be a nut case!
I'm entering this in Pixie's Crafty Snippets challenge for week #44.
Thanks so much for coming over!

Dimensions: 4.25" x 5.5"
Stamps: Many Merry Messages, Merry Christmas Trees - Hero Arts
Paper: Very Vanilla, Old Olive, assorted patterned strips - SU
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black - Tsukineko
Fibers: red satin ribbon
Other: Copic markers

Too funny! I am the one who grabs the scraps out of the scrap bucket and take them home when we have card class! It is always fun to have new scraps and snibbets to play with! That tree is just stunning and that bow! Wow, that just was crowning joy! So glad all is o.k. with you and your family.
