Beach-inspired post card for a wedding

Hello!  Yes, two days in a row, I've got wedding cards to share.  :-)  There sure are a lot of couples hitched to be married out there!  Hoping my handmade cards help make the big day a special one.

This card reminds me of a (somewhat) vintage post card.  My favorite thing is the focal point:  a jumble of shells, surrounded by a cork frame.

This negative die cut - a piece of cork, cut with a Deckled Rectangle die from Spellbinders - was lying about.  I was not sure what to do with it, but then it struck me that it would make a good frame for these bits of sea life.  A sprinkling of crystal clear glitter and a few pearls make it feel even more beachy.

The papers are from a lovely collection by Prima called Seashore.

Wishing you sunshine, this and every day!

  7. You know, I didn't even realize beach themed wedding cards were so popular until you started making them. I don't even have much in the way of beachy type stamps. Maybe it's because I live near the beach and our beaches, though beautiful, are rarely warm and windless enough for a wedding. I have sure enjoyed your beautiful cards! There's something about these muted seaside colors that appeal to me greatly. This one with the glitter is soooooo pretty!

  11. My friend who also was maid of honor stumbled upon this place, a hidden gem, and we popped over right away to see if it had possibilities. On first look and we knew it was perfect. The view at banquet halls in Miami is to die for, and provided a breathtaking backdrop to the ceremony and then dinner.
