Hello! My family will travel to Charleston, South Carolina soon for my brother-in-law's wedding. We are excited to see the city. Well, I am, anyway! My kids are happy just to have several days off from school. ;) The happy couple have many events planned for us all and the reception itself is in the Aquarium. Can't wait!
This is the card I made for them:

And here's the how-to:
- Make a card base.
- Make a slightly smaller layer to fit on base (my layer is 5" x 3 3/4").
- Arrange four equal-size rectangles of embossed cardstock pieces on layer with tape runner (I used Perfect Polka Dots [SU] and Textile [Cuttlebug] embossing folders).
- Use Big Shot and Lattice Bigz Die to make one die-cut.
- Use Big Shot and Sizzlits Lots of Tags to create tag.
- Stamp sentiment on tag.
- Make 2 opposing slots in tag using Horizontal Slot punch (SU) and place dimensionals on back.
- Run a piece of satin ribbon through the tag, then through the Lattice die cut.
- Secure ribbon on back of cardstock layer with Sticky Strip or glue or Scotch tape; anything with a stronger adhesive.
- Adhere layer with dimensionals to card base.
- Finish with pearls.
That looks like a lot of steps and a lot of work, but TRUST me -- it wasn't at all difficult. Just ask me if you have any questions about it.
I'm entering Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge 89 - to focus on the sentiment.
Gotta run. My 9 YO is having her Halloween Parade at school today. During her lunch hour, I need to feed and costume her. It's a whirlwind of an hour!
Thanks for joining me today. I really appreciate it!
Happy Stamping,
Colleen

PS - Ever notice I use a lot of Stampin' Up! stuff? For about two years, I was an SU demonstrator. I never actually demonstrated, but hung in for the discount. I am no longer a demo, but I still love their stuff!
LOVE white on white cards and this one is gorgeous, Colleen! Lovely use of the lattice die and the two EF. What a FUN place to have the reception too! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThis is one super-fantastic card, Colleen!! I love a great white-on-white card. Perfect for weddings. You may *say* this card was easy, but I think it looks SO complicated. You did a lovely job designing it--so many great details and pearls. Your photo looks super--looks like you got the fuzzy border down pat. Hurrah!!!
