Hello all! I have two quick cards to share today, and they're sort of mail-friendly. ;-) Not too many layers, and only a few bumpy things on them.
The card bases are from K & Co., and were a gift from my SIL quite a long while ago. They are thin, and I love the pattern. I added little bits of things that I keep in my soap boxes. I rather like the eclectic feel, and balanced everything off to one side (save one little punched butterfly) for the MFW Asymmetry Challenge.

The other card uses many of the same elements, but the focus is dead-center:

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Love the tiny pearls, nice touch.
ReplyDeleteHi Colleen, both are beautiful cards that compliment the soft colours in the inspiration photo very well ! The designer papers are very pretty and it's great to have 'flat' cards sometimes :) The postage can double here if I use a large pearl on a single layer. Have a great day, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteLove this (I have a few of those left myself) but I particularly love that old-timey paper you used and the cool cut-out!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are very classy and elegant Colleen. Love the aperture design on the first one - the newsprint paper works brilliantly and the right-hand butterfly is perfectly placed for "balance". Love the simplicity of the second one - the paper is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sylvia xx
Your card is delightful, the papers are lovely! Thanks so much for joining us at TSTR this week!
ReplyDeleteHi Colleen. I'm sorry I have been MIA in comments. I'm so happy I had a chance to stop by your blog tonight to see this drop dead gorgeous card! I adore the asymmetrical design and using negative space is one of my favorite techniques. I love how you placed the sentiment tag and the outline of Liquid Pearls. The second CAS card is beautiful too! I just love all of the papers you used.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Ellen
