Paisley Punch

A friend from high school asked me to create some thank you cards for her.  She is fan of paisley designs, and I was lucky to find this patterned paper in my stash:

She is also into clean and simple cards that have some detail to them, so I used flower punches to create a decorative edge along the paisley.  Had to add some sequins to give it pizzazz!  (I find sequins addictive.  Do you feel the same way?)

Glad you could pop in today.  Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Stamps: Everyday Sayings - Hero Arts Paper: Bashful Blue, Rose Red, orange, pink patterns - Stampin' Up!; paisley pattern - Raspberry Suite - K & Co. Accessories & Tools: Metallic Gold sequins - MJ Trimming; Hydrangea punch - Martha Stewart; Itty Bitty Accents (smaller flower) punch - Stampin' Up!

  3. Beautiful card (set) Colleen! Love the choice of paper and addition of those little flowers with sequins. I don't really use sequins, but love to see them on other projects...I actually bought some long time ago and still haven't been able to incorporate them into any of my cards...Well now that I have inspiration from you it will be easier to figure it out :)
    Have a wonderful day!

  8. The paisley is so colorful and pretty and it sure matches your card base perfectly. The flowers are cute along the edge. The sequins are wonderful as a non-bulky embellishment and I thought it was fantastic when they became popular. And then I never use them. I do have some in silver. Maybe I should make a point of using at least those.
