Noel Robin
Hi all! Today I am sharing a Christmas card using a few stamp sets from Topflight Stamps. One of my fave sets is Visible Image - Christmas Robin. It has images of birds, holly leaves and berries, a branch and sentiments. Very versatile! For my card, I started with a manila tag from the office supply store and stamped the large robin with Versafine Onyx Black ink. Overtop the robin I stamped Darkroom Door Sheet Music to cover most of the tag, with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves ink. I went back to the Visible Image Robin set and stamped on a separate piece of cardstock the holly leaves and berries, colored and fussy-cut them. They were added to the bottom corner near the bird's feet. At the top of the tag, I tied a twine bow and then added a teensy little tag, which was stamped with "noel". This is from AALL & Create - Define Christmas stamp set. I inked up just that one word to add to the cute little tag. That is one way to stretch your stamps - ink up just a portion of a sentiment.

I like that way you jazzed up the tag with the music and pretty little bird! Terrific card, Colleen!
ReplyDeleteI love how you've stamped the sheet music directly over top of the Robin. Very effective and beautiful. The holly sprig is such a gorgeous addition, colored beautifully and I think I see touches of gloss. It's all very pretty and vintage with your paper for back up. One card closer to Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love this tag, Colleen! The holly with the purple berries is gorgeous too! Love the shine and matching mat!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Colleen! Robins & Christmas go together so well.
