Starry Birthday

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we are sharing our star-themed creations. I've got a starry birthday card to show, which positively GLITTERS in person, thanks to Spectrum Noir Glitter Paste in Candlelight Gold and the Darkroom Door Starry Night Small Stencil.  The glitter paste is a dream to spread over a stencil, goes on easily and give such a 'wow' factor.  The background panel is navy, which is a good contrast for the gold stars.  The white panel was made with with a Crealies Stitched Rectangle, on which a sentiment from Visible Image Go To Words was stamped.  I finished it up with some gold star ribbon trim from my stash, and a few red stars.

Baby Bunny

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps we are featuring a company from France called L'Encre et L'Image.  I picked a sweet, sweet stamp set called The Long-Eared Family.  This little bunny makes a perfect baby card. After I stamped her, colored and fussy-cut her, plus a little leafy branch, she needed a pretty place to sit.  The background white brick image is from Craft Consortium Brick Textures paper pad, and the pale plum stitched rectangle was die-cut with Crealies Stitched Rectangle dies.  A piece of lace from my stash helped give her a soft place to land.

Thank You For Being A Friend

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we are focusing on a wonderful brand from the Netherlands called Studio Light.  I chose a great set of sentiment stamps called Basic Wishes.  On a white tag, I stamped "thank you" and "for being a friend" with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.  You can mix and match sentiments with this set.  I lightly inked the edges with brown ink, to give a vintage look.  The Craft Consortium Vintage Emporium Paper Pad had the perfect page full of old letters and postcards to use as a backdrop.  Finishing touches from my stash:  a seam binding bow and tiny bit of lace.

The Holly & The Ivy

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, we are focusing on Anything Goes!  I have a Christmas card to share, to add to my stash.  Using Crealies Stitched Rectangle dies, I created a frame for the PaperArtsy - Alison Bomber - Mini 96 stamp.  As I stamped the Mini 96 with VersaFine Onyx Black ink, I had the old Christmas carol "The Holly and The Ivy" playing in my head (Bing Crosby in particular).  So lovely!

After mounting the song lyrics on the red frame, I stamped some holly leaves and berries from Visible Image Christmas Robin on a scrap of white cardstock. I colored them and fussy cut them, and added to one corner of the lyrics, along with some die cut greenery from my stash.

Vintage Radish Seed Packet

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps it's Anything Goes and I have got RADISHES for you!!  This vintage vegetable set by PaperArtsy Scrapcosy 02 has beautiful illustrations of cabbage, radishes, pumpkin and red onion.  There are two labels as well, which I used on my card.  I use VersaFine Onyx Black Ink to stamp with because it is a deep black and gives great coverage, keeping the small details crisp.  I stamped the radish on a piece of patterned paper from Creative Expressions Nature's Compendium, since it has an aged look already.  On a separate piece of the same patterned paper, I stamped the two labels from the set, fussy-cut those, and added gold marker around the edges.  Underneath the round label, I added a piece of netting and then an actual vintage button on top.
