Feathers and Sympathy

Hello friends!  We've got some sunshine here today in NJ; it seems to have been scarce lately, so this is a real treat. 😀

I'm sharing two cards today, both in soothing tones of blue and pale gray.  One is a sympathy card, and one for encouragement.

Gina K - 'Fine Feathers' feathers and sentiment - Stampin' Up! blue damask patterned paper -
Spellbinders 'Labels Thirteen' die

Papertrey Ink - 'Keep It Simple: Sympathy' sentiment - Stampin' Up! - 'Carte Postale' square medallion - Inkadinkado - 'Floral Damask' flourishes in corners

It's a short and sweet post today.  Lots to do around the house before attending a special birthday celebration later in the afternoon.

Hope your day is wonderful and look for God's blessings -- they are indeed everywhere!

Winnie The Pooh and mercy too

Hello friends!

I gathered together two cards to share with you today, and though the themes are different, they have in common a palette of pink and green.

I love, love, love this quote from Winnie The Pooh, which is a Plain Jane (small single stamp) from Verve Stamps.

Verve Stamps 'Plain Jane Smallest Things' sentiment - Avery Elle 'More Stories' bunny, flowers - My Favorite Things 'Stitched Scalloped Basic Edges' die (for grassy hill), 'Stitched Rounded Rectangles' for sentiment panel

The next card  is super clean and simple.  I was dying to use the Papertrey Ink 'Inspired: Mercy' set, so I stamped the sentiment on a Blushing Bride pink cardstock tag, and added some green crochet trim from Webster's Pages, plus a thread bow and pearl.

Hope you have a wonderful day!  God bless you!

Happy Place Leaves

Hello there!

I'm way late in sharing this card.  It's the anniversary card I gave to my husband a couple of years ago.  We were married in October many moons ago, so we're rather fond of autumn and all the beauty that comes with the season.

I had the idea to scatter leaves on a card, all in white, with only one leaf in full color.  Distress Ink sprays were carefully spritzed onto a white cardstock scrap, then die-cut with a maple leaf from My Favorite Things 'Falling Leaves' for that one special piece.

I worried, as I always do, if my husband would like the card I made.  He liked it just fine. 😌

Thank you for your visit!  God bless you!

Amazing Parents

Hello friends!

Just a single card to share in this post:  a baby shower card.  I used shades of gray and green with a touch of blue too.  I think it could work if you don't know whether the baby will be a boy or a girl, although I must admit it does look a bit more boy-ish to me.  What do you think?

Thanks so much for your visit!  God bless you!

Bowers of Flowers

Hello!  Today it's sunny for a change here on the East Coast!  Our weather is slowly warming up, and it has me in the mood to share flower cards. 😁

Look at the pop of magenta color on these Lenten roses!  I pulled out vibrant purples and greens from my Copic marker collection to give these blossoms some flower power.  I hand-trimmed them, and added them to an all-white card base.  The sentiment seemed to go really well with these floral beauties.

The next card uses a liberal dose of my favorite color, purple.  I've loved this color all of my life.  In fact, our dining room is painted with a deep plum color below the chair rail - the color is from the old line of Martha Stewart paints, and the name is Plum Pudding.  And if you're wondering, the color above the chair rail is called Gray Squirrel.  Plum and gray, those are our dining room colors.

Inspired By Stamping 'Graceful Hydrangea' flower - Verve 'Small Phrases' birthday sentiment - Stampin' Up! 'French Script' background stamp

The next card used up some pretty things that were in a box on my work desk:  stamped roses and a sentiment from Altenew, and a rectangle of black cardstock that had been punched with a wrought iron punch.
Altenew 'Vintage Roses' flowers, 'Label Love' sentiment - Martha Stewart 'Iron Gate' punch

Flourishes Stamps 'Vintage Wallpaper' background stamp - Anna Griffin flowers - white crochet lace

My Favorite Things 'Essential Sentiments' sentiment (love you more) - DCWV sticker (pure love, round tag) - Inspired By Stamping 'Graceful Hydrangea' flower stamp - Stampin' Up! Groovy Guava patterned paper

Unity Stamps 'Helping Me Grow' hydrangea seed packet stamp - old book page - crochet lace

iamroses.com Paper Gardenia flower - Stampin' Up! floral patterned paper

Altenew 'Label Love' thanks a bunch sentiment - Flourishes Stamps 'Butterflies & Blossoms' clematis stamp

The Proverbs 31:25 Scripture from Verve Stamps needed a little dressing up after I laid the rounded rectangle against the aqua patterned paper.  I took a long piece of ruffled Regal Rose ribbon from Stampin' Up! and gathered and glued it along the back edges.  Then even that seemed like it needed a bit of something extra, so I used an Altenew flower and leafy branch, stamped and trimmed, to top off the opposite corners.  The panel was set slightly to the right on the card base, to show off the pretty butterfly and flowers on the patterned paper.  I did add some rhinestones though.

Verve Stamps 'Proverbs 31:25' stamp - Altenew 'One of a Kind' flower (black and white) - Prima patterned paper

Stampin' Up! sentiment (my heart smiles just thinking of you) 'Suite Sayings' - iamroses.com paper gardenia

It's a bit tough to see in the picture of the last card, but that really thin strip is an antique gold glittered paper from DCWV.

I am SO glad you came by to check out the flowers today!  God bless you!

Sweet Baby

Hello there, I hope you are doing well today!  We're mid-way through the week, and the weekend is just starting to appear on the horizon!  Hooray for weekends. 😁

I've got two baby cards today, and both use sweet little animals from the Avery Elle 'Storybook' stamp set.  Love those cute little critters.

Short supply lists in the caption beneath each picture.

Avery Elle 'Storybook' deer - Papertrey Ink 'Tag Sale #5' die - pale green cotton twine, pale green resin medallion accent from Stampin' Up! - DCWV 'Nana's Nursery: Girl' patterned paper

Though it might not initially catch your eye, I used the My Favorite Things die called Grassy Fields on the card below.  It's actually the negative piece that resulted after I die cut some grass.  I hate to throw away things that can be repurposed, so I did add that here beneath the bunny's feet.

Avery Elle 'Storybook' bunny, birds stamps - Craft's Meow 'Sending You Sunshine' hello banner - My Favorite Things 'Sensational Stitched Flowers' die for tiny pink flower - Papertrey Ink 'Sweet Blush' pink felt, 'Tiny Tags' die and baby stamp  - My Favorite Things 'Grassy Fields' die

I am so glad you stopped by!  Enjoy your day and God bless you!

Stripes and Bicycles

Hello friends!  So glad you joined me!

Bicycles and stripes are the themes for this batch of cards today.

I am pleased with how this first card came out.  I stamped, colored and fussy-cut a bicycle from Market Street Stamps (I loved that company!) and set it on a cork road (it's patterned paper), which is set upon a real map.  Vancouver is prominently displayed here!  The sun and clouds are die cuts, and the clouds were also embossed for some more interest.

Market Street Stamps 'Riding By' - Papertrey Ink 'Cloud 1 & 2' dies - My Favorite Things 'Sunny Skies' die - snippet of a map - Stampin' Up! 'Square Lattice' embossing folder

The same bicycle appears below (I changed the seat color!) and set it again on a cork road surface, but this time, I imagined this as a city scene, hence the gray brick wall.  I added a door and transom from Papertrey Ink 'Home Made' and added Crackle Glossy Accents from Ranger to the transom (after coloring it with Copic markers).  How about that snazzy patterned paper beneath the cork?  It was in a Stampin' Up! scrap bag from my friend.  It's different, and I was pushing my creative limits a bit here.

Market Street Stamps 'Riding By' - Papertrey Ink 'Home Made' door and transom - Tim Holtz/Sizzix 'Bricked' embossing folder

Next up is a super simple thank you card in crisp navy and white.

Papertrey Ink 'Wonderful Words: Thank You' die -
navy and white scrap strips of patterned paper from Stampin' Up! scrap bag

Last but not least, another card with stripes, courtesy of My Mind's Eye patterned paper.  I added a strip of gold mirror cardstock and a stamped sentiment.  Then I layered on some cream colored die cut flowers, some raised on dimensional tape, some adhered flat to the card.  Each one got topped with a rhinestone.

Thank you so much for your visit today!
Be blessed, and have a wonderful week!

Thanks for coming by today!
God bless you, have a wonderful week!

Heart Beets

Hello friends!
Just a single card to share in this post.  This was an anniversary card I made for my husband.  He didn't get it at first, he thought these were radishes.  They're beets!  On the inside of the card, I hand-wrote, "My heart beets for you."  Punny, I know.  😂

Flourishes Stamps 'Garden Fresh' - My Favorite Things 'Heart Stax' dies

It's a super simple card, with the focus on these ruby red beets.  The white heart die cuts form a backdrop for the vivacious veggies, and I didn't think there was a good spot for a sentiment on the front of the card at all, so I left it as is.

Thanks so much for your visit!
God bless you!
