Thanksgiving Pumpkins

I sure am a slow stamper!  This has taken me about 3 hours to complete and photograph.  In order to feel better about that, I have to remind myself of this wonderful quote:
“Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.”  - Greg Anderson, (American best-selling Author and founder of the American Wellness Project., b.1964)
It's been a while since I did some Copic coloring, and it was fun to bring those out this morning for my autumn elements.  The sketch was from Mojo Monday #155:

I also followed the guidelines from:
Close-up of autumn fruits.
I took several shots of this card and found it hard to capture the 'glow' of the leaves, pumpkins and gourds.  So, I threw in both pix for you to get a feel for it as it is in real life.

Boy, it's kind of nice having the kids back in school - I get more stamp time!

Have a great day,
Colleen

Fabulous colouring on the image, Colleen, and a great use of the Mojo sketch. Love the textured panels of white.

Colleen, this is absolutely FABULOUS!!! What a stunning autumn card. Your Copic coloring is amazing. That's one type of (expensive) tool that I've not allowed myself to pursue!! You've quite obviously have a keen knack for it. Love what I'm seeing! "Glow" is just the right word for those gorgeous leaves and pumpkins.

Thanks for reminding me of the journey quote. I'm also SUCH a slow stamper and sometimes get frustrated with myself for letting projects take so long--even when I had a wonderful, creative time doing it!! The dust bunnies (and other detritus of everyday living) will still be here tomorrow--but the thrill of doing something for yourself and truly enjoying it may not.

So glad you enjoyed your stamping time today!!

Wow! Colleen, this is an awesome Fall card. Love all those gourds, pumpkins, leaves...just a beauty! Yes, sometimes I think I am slower than everyone else but it sure takes a while to make a card, take photos, find challenges to fit into, and upload. But, so worth it.
