This week's Play Date Cafe challenge is drenched with color, and comes courtesy of our own Ruby2Shoes.
I have to admit this was a real challenge for me, because I do not use lots of color in my creations. I tend to use neutrals in nearly everything I touch. After a couple of ideas that didn't work, I hit on something I am SUPER pleased with:
The large Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch is a gift I received on Christmas, and it's making its debut on my blog here! They are flying over an embossed background called Sugar by Sizzix. The hearts are from the Stampin' Up! punch called Heart to Heart.
The sentiment is from SU's Elements of Style, and I thought it fit the butterfly theme nicely.
Ruby is our sponsor this week with some Ippity goodies for you!

Hi Coleen, thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday! Loving the new PDCC colours, and loving your card even more!
BTW, I only get a craft room as we don't have kids yet so we have 2 spare room in our nee 3 bed house- hubby gets the garage and I get the small bedroom! Hopefully one day we'll be blessed with kids and my craft room will have to make room for a nursery!
Your card is beautiful Colleen, what a great use of the colours, really fab job! I'm glad you managed to get it to work for you. It's fun working outside of our usual colours, but it can be stressful too, so well done you!! Fab job!
Wow, Colleen, this card is simply perfect! What a great way to mix up so many bold colors! I love when an idea turns out so beautifully! Especially when toil proceeded it~

Perfect use of those jewel tone colours. Love the EF in the BG and that is a punch that is on my wish list for sure!
This is BEAUTIFUL, Colleen! You nailed those colors and tamed them perfectly with lots of white background. I love that little line of perfectly selected blue rhinestones! Way to go on this one, my friend! :)
