Goldfinch in the Flowers

Hello!  This week at Topflight Stamps, our theme is Anything Goes.  I used a PaperArtsy set called Scrapcosy ESC19, which features lush flowers and a beautiful bird.  I stamped the flower cluster on either corner of the card, and stamped the bird on a scrap of paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I colored the flower centers, the leaves, and the bird with alcohol markers.  Then the bird was fussy cut and added to the center of the card, perched among the flora.

This is my last week as a designer for Topflight Stamps, and I am so very grateful for the time I've had as part of the team!  My thanks to Donna, owner of Topflight Stamps, for having me as a designer.  It's been my pleasure to create with the amazing products she has in her shop!

AALL & Create Quirky Post Birds

Hello!  We've got an Anything Goes week at Topflight Stamps!  I had fun with AALL & Create Quirky Postage die set to create a backdrop for little bird postage stamps from PaperArtsy Scrapcosy ESC19 set.  I used two shades of purple cardstock with the postage dies and stacked them, arranging in sort of a quilt style.  The birds were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trimmed and colored with alcohol markers.  I layered some of the stamps with foam adhesive tape to pop them up.

(The photos below were taken with my iPhone in the light tent and the purples just look so different than the pic above!)

Postal Collage

Hello all!  We've got an "Anything Goes" week at Topflight Stamps.  I had fun making a collage card with various elements from PaperArtsy stamps:  Alison Bomber Rosehips Edition; Alison Bomber Violets Edition; Alison Bomber Blackthorn Edition; Alison Bomber Apple Blossom Edition and Scrapcosy 41.  Each of these sets has a little postage stamp / postmark / small label, and I stamped each one on scrap paper and colored in with alcohol markers, then fussy cut.  I set these aside to create my background.  On watercolor paper cut to fit my card, I sprayed Lindy's Stamp Gang Buccaneer Bay Blue in a random way, then spritzed water to help the color move around.  While that was drying, I tore a piece of kraft paper from a shopping bag into a smaller rectangle.  I spritzed it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Gossamer Gold, and followed up with some sprays of water to move the color.  Once that was dry, I assembled all of the little elements in the center of the kraft rectangle, and added some scraps of burlap in two corners.

The Lavinia Uplifting Collection Stickers have their spot(s) on here too.  I used the white ones from the sticker set (they come in black and a neutral tone, too) and grunged them up with distress ink.

Enjoy Life with Gossamer Gold

Hello crafters!  I've got a shimmery card to share with you today for Topflight Stamps, using Lindy's Stamp Gang Gossamer Gold spray.  Oh my, this is so gorgeous!  It's got a combination of walnut brown and gold hues in one spray.  First, I took a plain manila tag and spritzed it with this product, then a bit of water and hit it with a heat tool to help speed up drying. Once dry, I used the PaperArtsy Scrapcosy PS317 Stencil and Lavinia Truffle Dye Ink to create borders and a sentiment on the tag.  After mounting it on an old hymnal page and decorative paper, I added a twine bow and it's all set to give to my father in law for his birthday.  Thanks for joining me, and hope you have a great day!
