All For Baby

Hello there!  As I had a post of baby cards mostly filled in and ready to go, I thought I'd go ahead and share right now.

First up, going for a neutral, somewhat woodsy kind of card:

Papertrey Ink Inside & Out: Baby sentiment; Lawn Fawn Little Bundle stamps & matching dies; Inspired By Stamping Background Basics II gingham stamp; ivory dots; woven ribbon; Stampin' Up! Weathered Background

Throwback to DCWV Nana's Nursery Boy paper stack on the next card!  It takes me a long time to go through my patterned paper stash.  So this is considered 'old' now I guess!  It sure is cute, though.

Unity Wild About You giraffe/balloon; Papertrey Ink Tiny Tags sentiment; DCWV Nana's Nursery Boy patterned papers; glossy accents (on the balloon)

Next, totally assembled out of scraps and bits.  All I had to do was stamp a sweet sentiment.

Papertrey Ink Inside & Out: Baby sentiment; Gina Marie Designs Medium Butterfly die; felt heart, flowers; ivory dot

And last, another card formed out of bits and pieces.  The lamb sticker came in the pack of other critters I showed on cards here in this post.  Since she's pink, I found a piece of plaid paper that harmonized with her fur.  The balloon is from a scrap bag.

Stampin' Up! balloon/sentiment (from a scrap bag); lamb sticker; paper scraps

Thanks for coming by, hope your week is going swell! 😀

Chicken Soup For You

Happy Wednesday!  With a short week due to our holiday weekend that just passed, we have reached the mid-week quickly. 😀

Today I've got a little bowl of chicken soup to share with you.  Cutest bowl of chicken soup I've ever seen, with that happy smile!

Lawn Fawn On The Mend bowl, spoon, sentiment; Spellbinders Labels One die; Lifestyle Crafts Nesting Pinking Squares die; glossy accents

This was quite the 'scrap' card.  I really did pull together many items that were in a scrap pile on my work desk.  The bowl of soup and spoon have some glossy accents on them; it's a shame they never photograph as nicely as I'd like.

It's my hope this will put a smile on someone's face.
Thank you for your visit!

Autumn-Themed Cards

Hello everyone!  I've been wanting to play in a card challenge, and I was intrigued by the Tic Tac Toe challenge #104.  I picked the bottom row, which features birthday, coloring & yellow.  I put together an autumn-themed birthday card, with a birthday sentiment inside.  Sometimes I like the simplicity of  'for you' on the front of a clean and simple card.

Stampin' Up! Lovely As A Tree oak leaves stamp, patterned papers; Inspired By Stamping Fancy Label 18 frame stamp; Spellbinders Labels 18 die; yellow clear enamel dots; Copic markers

And while I was in an autumn mood, I went a little crazy and crafted up all kinds of things with leaves.  LOL

Papertrey Ink Autumn Hills sentiment, tiny pumpkin stamps; Stampin' Up! Autumn Harvest pumpkin stamp, brown embossed die cut; Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies; yellow clear enamel dots; Verve Notebook Paper stamp

Top Dog Dies Fall Foliage acorn die; Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies; Sizzix / Tim Holtz Sewing Room dress form die; My Favorite Things Slanted Sentiment Strips die, Falling Leaves dies; Papertrey Ink Keep It Simple: Thanksgiving sentiment stamp; lace; white crackle paint

Sizzix / Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die; natural twine; My Favorite Things Mix & Match Banners die; gold & walnut stain Distress Ink sprays; Papertrey Ink Stemmed Statements sentiment stamp

Sizzix / Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die; gold & walnut stain Distress Ink sprays; Hero Arts With Sympathy sentiment stamp

Sizzix / Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die; gold & walnut stain Distress Ink sprays; Hero Arts With Sympathy sentiment stamp

Papertrey Ink Autumn Hills sentiment; Stampin' Up! Avant Garden flower stamp (for border); Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork die; tiny acorn from stash

Hope you and your loved ones are doing well.  My husband has been busy repainting our living room, going from a beige that I am tired of, to a pale warm gray.  The woodwork is white, we keep that standard throughout the house.  I'll try to remember to share a pic or two here when it's all finished.

One of my teeth fell two Fridays ago (a crown with post) while I was eating.  Ugh.  And of course, it was a Friday, so I needed to wait the weekend to have the problem addressed.  I went to a new-to-me dentist office that was highly recommended, and on Monday morning, lo and behold, my tooth that had been given a root canal, where the crown had been, was yanked.  Thankful for nitrous oxide.  I am now in the process of getting a dental implant.  It will be my first.  I hear good things about them.  😀

God bless you!

Catching Up (a little)

Hello friends!  It's been quite a while since we met here.  Life has been biz-zee!  So busy!  I've been making masks, and cards, and decorating for autumn, and selling things on Mercari...and also the usual upkeep of a home.  But I really wanted to pop in and share at least some of my backlog of cards.  There is much more I need to show you, but time is short so here we go with this batch today!

Inspired By Stamping - Graceful Hydrangea small flower cluster stamp; Papertrey Ink Inside & Out: Birthday II sentiment stamp; Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch; clear dots; Sizzix Sweet & Donut Thinlits word dies

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics sentiment, postmark and flower stamps, Floral Background stamp; K & Co. pale purple flourish die cuts

Stampin' Up! Watercolor Trio solid flower stamp in background, 'friend' on die cut from scrap bag; Gina Marie Designs Small Butterfly die; button; clothing tag (floral with lace); twine; doily; L'il Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle die; Spellbinders Parisian Motifs die (a small section below tag)

The Greetery Sentiment Suite: Birthday; My Favorite Things Falling Leaves dies; All Night Media small maple leaf stamp; Stampin' Up! Sanded Background stamp; gold cardstock circle

Lawn Fawn Little Bundle stamps and matching dies; pink and white twine; Spellbinders Scalloped Squares die; DCWV Luxury Stack patterned paper

This one was easy peasy.  The heart and sentiment from Stampin' Up were already stamped and embossed (from a scrap bag).  I just die cut it with a My Favorite Things heart, added a white glittery sticker from the craft store, and added pearls and clear sparkling sequins.

Stampin' Up! 'wish big' sentiment (from a scrap bag, unsure of the set) and patterned paper from Good Neighbors paper pad (oldie); My Favorite Things Mini Wavy Pennants die

And we've come to the end of the show for today! 😁
I do have another post coming soon.  Looking forward to showing you those cards as well.

God bless you,

Hello crafty friends!  Here on the East Coast - man, it's HOT!  It's 97 degrees right now, and humid, and I'm incredibly grateful for air conditioning.  Thought I'd show some Christmas cards to you all today, so we can think cool thoughts.  LOL

I'm playing in another challenge today, one that is new to me.  It's 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, and the current challenge theme is 'Santa'.  I've got one Santa card, and a whole bunch of other Christmas cards to share today!

Sweet Shades of Aqua

Hello friends!  Well, we finally made it to Friday.  It's April 3, 2020, and it was a long week.  Busy too.  I am still working full time, praise God, and we had some celebrating going on here at home this week too.  It was my husband's birthday, and we ordered takeout from the Silver Diner.  My youngest daughter and I baked him a fudgy chocolate cake, and we will have that finished tonight (baked last night, and we're about to put the frosting on).  She found the recipe here. It's easy and has a little bit of instant coffee and cocoa powder in the batter, to give it a darker chocolate flavor.  The frosting is a chocolate ganache, made with just two ingredients:  heavy cream and chocolate chips.

Another celebration of sorts is for our town's high school seniors, of which my daughter is one.  We were asked to decorate our front door in honor of our son/daughter, and take a photo.  The pictures will be included in their yearbook.  These poor kids.  It's been an anticlimactic second half of her senior year.  The Disney World class trip was cancelled and will not be rescheduled. Not sure if there will be prom.  And who knows if they'll get to graduate together in June?  Anyway, I included a picture of our front door at the end of this post.

On to some cards:

Papertrey Ink Inside and Out: Birthday II sentiment stamp; Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch; clear gems; Inspired By Stamping Graceful Hydrangea floral branch stamp; Sizzix Sweet & Donut Phrases sentiment dies; gold embossed cardstock from store-bought card; oval die cut

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Friendship sentiment stamp, punched leaves, aqua rhinestone brad; L'il Inker Designs Stitched Rectangles die; Spellbinders Blossoms dies; fabric

The card below was for my senior's birthday.  She went to France last year with her French class from school, so I included the Eiffel Tower.  And we have a black cat named Cristabel, so there she is, looking up at the Tower.

Hero Arts Eiffel Tower die; Impression Obsession Cat Set die; clear sequins; rhinestones; Inspired By Stamping Paris fleur de lis, 'paris' sentiment stamps; L'il Inker Designs Stitched Rectangles die

Lawn Fawn Little Bundle stamps and matching dies (birds, clothing, clothespins); Glitz Designs Fancy Frames frame stamp; Papertrey Ink Monthly Moments: Journal Card 2 die scalloped rectangle, Daily Designs Sentiments sentiment stamp; Stampin' Up! oval punch

Here's the celebration door for our girl:

I did lots of papercrafting, as you can see!  I hand cut the word, 'Hawks' and '2020' from red cardstock.  My older daughter cut out the boat (because our senior, Kerry, was a rower on the high school team).  I cut two oars out of paper, but they look like kitchen rubber scrapers.  Ha!  And below you can get a better glimpse of the Eiffel Tower (Hero Arts die) garland I made out of two different shades of pink cardstock and some red and white twine.

I also cleaned out my whole china cabinet and washed every dish and glass and bowl and tray, then polished up the shelves themselves, and put everything away.  Whew!  What an undertaking.  But now it's done for a while.

Hope you are healthy and enjoying your families in our quarantined situations.  😀
Thanks for your visit today, and God bless you!

Cards to Share

Hey there!  How are you all doing out there??  I hope you're keeping busy and keeping your hands washed to keep the germs at bay.  What a crazy time it is right now!  We are doing our part and staying in unless it's absolutely essential to run to the store.  My husband and I are taking walks in the evening, and it feels good to get some fresh air.

I had a little time this evening to photo-edit some cards from a while back, so I'm sharing today:

Stampin' Up! - 'thanks' sentiment (unsure of set); calendar panel; Webster's Pages - silver lace fabric

Papertrey Ink - Inside and Out: Birthday II sentiment; Stampin' Up! - Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits dies

Momenta - Hello sentiment; Altenew - One of A Kind flower stamp; Stampin' Up! wooden flower; Simon Says Stamp - Stitched Circle die; My Favorite Things - Scalloped Rectangle die

My Favorite Things - Inspired By Spring sentiment, Scalloped Rectangle die; Martha Stewart Hydrangea Punch; Stampin' Up!  Itty Bitty Accents flower punch

My Favorite Things - Ewe and Me Forever sheep, flowers; Lucky -  clouds; Grassy Fields dies

The sheep card is definitely 'cutesy', and I had made it for my youngest daughter's 17th birthday.  She has always loved animals, and at the time, this sheep stamp set by My Favorite Things was new to me, so I played around with it and created a scenic card.

The Craft's Meow - Owl Be Thinking of You sentiment, stars; assorted scraps from my desk

Tim Holtz - Tattered Leaves die; Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves oak leaf die; Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin - You Are My Anchor sentiment, Le Jardin Botanique leaf stamp
The last card is my least favorite in the line-up today.  I was trying to use elements that were on my desk at the time, and make it look cohesive.  Instead, it looks a bit busy to me now.  LOL 😆

Thanks a bunch for joining me today.  Stay safe and stay well, and God bless you!
