My friend, who is a Girl Scout leader, came up with the idea of using paint chips to make Valentine cards for our troop. She asked me for further ideas on how we might do this. I thought it about it for a while, and this materialized today, in under 20 minutes:
No stamps were needed, no ink, either. I was glad I had chipboard pieces and stickers on hand that were perfect for the job.
The paint chip strip is actually one I was using. We are painting our bathroom Barely Teal by Benjamin Moore Paints, and it's at the top of this color strip. I only needed that one little piece, and the rest were headed for the recycling bin.
I am definitely entering this in the Around The House challenge over at Moxie Fab World, using tools from around the house. Love it!
Also entering at CARDS: create, where the challenge is Valentines.

How fun! I have seen paint chips that were green made into a Christmas tree and some other colors as Christmas ornaments but not the Valentine's Day! I love this and no ink or stamps even! This is a great idea for the girls. They can even use the idea for their environmental badge or whatever it would be called. I am sure they would have one for that now! I love the idea that you already had the paint chip and that it didn't HAVE to be a red or pink for a valentine. Love what you used! At halloween I was trying to make something with an orange paint chip but I gave up too soon. So fun and to have it on the slant adds even more interest. Great job as always! You will have to show us the bathroom when finished! Since I work in the office of a recycling plant - I need to keep this in mind for kids ideas when they tour the plant or we have other activities. We can have some of our customers who sell paint give us old paint chips and such!

Oh, my goodness--that's so funny to see you using paint chips on this aMAZing Valentine card today! Just last weekend I had to run to Lowe's to pick up some plumbing stuff for my hubby (who was in the middle of the related plumbing project at home at the time), and I took a quick trip thru the paint chips--just to find a few that would be fun to use on cards.
