Play Date Cafe 117 - Sparkly Thanks

Robin Egg, Lilac and Bisque...our colors for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge.  Soft and beautiful, aren't they?  I love the picture of the weathered door in the inspiration grouping above.

I knew right away that I could use the sparkly ribbons I bought on clearance after Christmas at JoAnn's.
I created a frame with them, mitering my corners with this help.

The center panel uses a stamp from Stampin' Up!'s Clearly For You, with Wheat Versamagic Chalk Ink.  Around the border of glittery ribbons, I put together a mix of 3 different Spellbinders die cuts.

The butterfly, from SU's Nature Walk, sports some clear glitter, though you can't see it too well here.

The base of the card is stamped with Vintage Wallpaper by Market Street Stamps, in the same Wheat chalk ink as the center panel.

We have a new designer joining us this week.  Alicia Thelin is a name you may know from publications, and we're super excited to have her be part of our team. :-)  You can check out her neat style at her blog, scrappybetties.  Welcome, Alicia!

Our sponsor at The Cafe this week is Melanie Muenchinger, a GinaK Designer.  She has designed many of those glorious stamps, so beautiful!  Head over to The Play Date Cafe and check out the designer line-up of creations, and our fabby prize, too.

Thanks for joining me!

Colleen

Beautiful beautiful! I have several rolls of that glitter ribbon from Michael's a few years back. I think I told you I could open a ribbon store...might as well say, patterned paper store and button store...hmmm what does that say!

Thanks for sharing your elegant stunning jaw dropping beauty!

Colleen, this is just gorgeous - those ribbons are amazing! I wanted to share something with you about your arthritis -- and hope that you will check it out. I sell a product from a company called Aihu that has been amazingly helpful to people with arthritis. My mom and sister both use it, as do many other customers I have. It is called Therapeutic Gel X and you can see it at my website: www.aihu.net/JudithRozema. Click on the word Shop, then Anti-Stress Aromatherapy under products. You use a very little amount, so the bottle would last quite awhile. I would love to send you some information on it so you could read about it. I am not just trying to sell something -- I really want to get this in the hands of people that it will help! My email is lidaroseroz@yahoo.com. It is all-natural, no chemicals, so you can use it as many times a day as you need. It really is worth a try. Now back to your card -- LOVE the frames you made too~!

These colors really spoke to me today!! It's been a long time since I've played along with PDCC, but your card really inspired me, so I had to. :) This is so pretty! What a great technique for mitering. Thanks for the link. I can hardly believe that all that pretty sparkle is on ribbons--looks like heavy cardstock to me!! Fabulous card, Colleen. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
