Winter Wishes

This is my second post for today.  To see the Play Date Cafe challenge, scroll down one post.

Considering it's 63 degrees here on the East Coast today, that's a weird title for my post.  It feels like anything BUT winter!

I am playing in Moxie Fab World's Cure For the Winter Blues challenge, where we are to use navy.  I picked up a sketch from the Merry Monday challenge, too; a nice, simple one:

I used a stamp from the Blockheads set, Feeling Regal.  I used the large flourish stamp to create patterned paper and attached it to the card front.

The snowflake punch was sprayed with adhesive (Elmer's) and coated with Martha Stewart Sterling Tinsel Glitter.

To finish it off, I added some pearls and a rhinestone to the sentiment (Verve - Glad Tidings).

Thanks for joining me today!

Stamps: Verve - Glad Tidings; Feeling Regal - Blockheads Paper Arts
Paper: white - PTI; Night of Navy - SU
Ink: Night of Navy - SU; Versafine Onyx Black - Tsukineko
Other: pearls, rhinestone - Queen & Co.; lace trim - Simplicity; Himalayan Snowflake Punch, Sterling Tinsel Glitter - Martha Stewart; Big Shot; Oval die cut - Spellbinders; large oval, scalloped oval punches - SU

Wow! I love everything you do with the Blockheads sets. What a beautiful image you're using and your snowflake is so pretty with that MS tinsel glitter. I just knew I bought some of that last year but it has vanished if I did.

Guess what? The temp at the airport about 15 miles from me was 83 degrees today. Holy Moly...how fab is that? Plus, I'm noticing the robins returning. Love it! Of course, I think the high tomorrow will be about 59. I'll hibernate.

Hooray! So happy you joined me Colleen! Your card is beautiful, I need to find that spray glue. I couldn't believe that background was a stamp! Love it!!

Blue and white is so perfect for a winter card, and I adore that tinsel-y snowflake, Colleen. Spray adhesive, you say? I've never used it, but that sounds like it would be perfect for chunky glitter like that. This is lovely!

Very nice tiling of the damask stamp. It made a beautiful background and I love the cool colors.

Another fun card! Of course I love the snowflake with all it's glitz and glammor. It really works with the chandelier as the background. The blue you used really looks good with the snowflake. Of course the touch of pearls and rhinestone and a fun touch as well. It is snowing here as I write this. But, your card is a whole lot better since we had rain before and hopefully it doesn't get much colder to have a sheet of ice on everything! Spray adhesive - I will have to check for that. That chunky glitter can be a pain at times. I have some of her light blue that I used on snowflakes a couple of years ago.

OHHHH! I just love that snowflake! GORGEOUS! I love that you are thinking of winter even though it was hot out:) It was great chatting with you the other day--we got home around 11pm....I thought that would be too late to chat again:) And then I got busy cleaning the house (apparently if you clean it daily it doesn't take hours and days to clean!). I will chat with you soon:) Miss ya! Love ya too!

Just gorgeous Colleen. It was almost 80 degrees here in NC yesterday, so your card helps remind me it is still winter! I love your colors in this card and that snowflake is just gorgeous.
