Dusk, Magenta and Seedling -- these are the new Play Date Cafe colors this week!
Though I think all the colors look fabulous together, I had trouble matching up the top and middle colors to things I already had in my stash. I found some Creative Inspirations Paints (have I told you lately how much I love them??) that fit the bill (listed in supplies at the end of this post).
The damask stamp is Purple Onion (my very first PO stamp!), which I heat-embossed on white cardstock. Then I painted Denium shimmer paint over it. See how dark the color looks in the jar below? These paints are more sheer than they first appear. You can layer the paint to build up your color, though.
The purple petals are from old SU chipboard pieces I have, and the rose is Anna Griffin (bought dirt cheap at a Tuesday Morning shop).
Our sponsor this week is DeNami Design, so one lucky winner gets to shop with them!

Before I go, a big HELLO to the new Followers I see on my sidebar! It means a lot that you like my stuff enough to put your picture there. :-)
Thanks so much for joining me today!

This is a beautiful card Colleen! I LOVE how you made the background. And the flower with the purple leaves adds just the right touch.
Gorgeous bg! Wat to use those colors!
What a great damask stamp...made a beautiful bg. Love the chipboard leaves and little flower, too.
Your background is beautiful Colleen! Lovey card ;)
Great BG and love the lace. Well done with the colours.
That's a beautiful damask background and the lace is so pretty against it. And the bouquet is a great finish.
GORGEOUS card! I LOVE the damask background!!!! BEAUTIFUL!
Gorgeous...I love the background that you have created and that flower is a lovely add...love this Colleen..
I love that Damask stamp! What a gorgeous background with that color. What a difference between the jar and the final product. The lace and flower are great but not sure about the purple leaves - but hey, why not? Poetic license! I miss going to Tuesday Morning though I didn't get that many fun things when we lived in Houston.

What an amazing BG. Cool paint. What I love most are those yummy purple leaves. Purple leaves? Just realized those are leaves - but love the color/sheen.

Oh, this is so pretty! I took a sneak peak at your projects last night but hubby whisked me off to bed before I could leave comments, so I'm back this morning taking my time! I love this one! :)

Hi, Colleen! I know I saw this gorgeous card of yours last week, but how did I miss commenting on it? I've had my eye on that Purple Onion Damask stamp for a while now. It's a beauty! And I love how you highlighted the gorgeous design with that beautiful shimmer paint. And your touches of lace? Divine! Lovely work, my friend. :)
Wow, so pretty. Very nice card. The damask, the color, the lace.
