Hello everyone! It's time for a new sketch at Seize The Sketch challenge blog, and our hostess is Mona Pendleton.
My card feels very dainty, if I had to describe it in a word. The delicate font of the sentiment, the light and airy lace, and finely-detailed patterned papers make it seem very feminine, indeed.
Thanks to the Clearance Rack at Stampin' Up!, I had bought the Everyday Enchantment designer series papers for a song. The colors in the papers prompted my color scheme. There were no red pearls in my stash, so I used a red Copic marker to customize a white one. Super easy to do; just allow enough time to dry before adhering to your project.
The focal point was created with a few layers of paper flowers (Prima), topped with a Webster's Pages Whimsy heart.
Sure hope you are inspired to join us! The challenge lasts two weeks, and you can find all the details HERE.
Mind if I share? I was tickled to find my pirate card from March 2013 featured over at Paper Crafter's Library recently! You can see the Nautical-themed post HERE. Thanks to Aliya White, who wrote the article and kindly asked my permission to use the card.
Thanks for your visit today. =D

Upon writing this blog post, I see that I did not place my sentiment properly, according to the sketch. Oh well! Better send the card police after me!

As always, I love the sketch as it's so very usable, and your card makes it extra special with all the pretty elements. Thanks for the extra little "trip" today, too. I loved your chalkboard ship card when I first saw it. All of those nautical themed cards are fabulous!

Hi Colleen - thanks for your visit, I love your work, great to connect with you. This card is stunning! The flower centre makes me swoon a bit...I loved that you noticed the Linen paper on my card. I live in Manhattan and since we moved to the US, we are head over heels in love with AC...maybe we can do a 'meet you half way' playdate sometime..Cx
Dainty, elegant and very beautiful! Love these patterns and that lovely paper flower!
Colleen this is such a pretty card! Love the papers!
Lovely card -- nice shout out too
Well, I'm not the card police, Colleen, but I think if you had placed your sediment on the bottom half, it would have made the card bottom heavy. You have a wonderful eye for balance and design the way you interpreted the sketch for this beautiful light and airy feminine delight!! Hugs, Darnell
lol, card police! I love this perfectly dainty card - that heart button/piece is gorgeous!
