This is my second post for today. Please click HERE for
"CASEing a Crafter: Welcome Home."
I was inspired by THIS card, designed by the amazing Iwona Palamountain. Love the sketch, and applied it to my own card. The strip of black punched edging is an Iwona-touch, as is the black die-cut sentiment.
The cork circle was sitting in my bits-and-pieces box, and seemed a good fit with the ADORABLE bee (Circle Friends / Simon Says Stamp). It's the first time I'm using the bee in the stamp set. You can see two other cards I made with other animals from the set HERE. (By the way, I don't like those cards as much as I like this one.)
I'm entering my friend Darnell's NBUS Challenge #2. She challenges us to use "never-before-used-schtuff". Heck, we've all got loads of that kind of stuff, don't we?
Stamps: bee - Circle Friends - Simon Says Stamp Paper: white, True Black - PTI; yellow flower - SU Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black - Tsukineko Accessories & Tools: adhesive cork sheet; circle dies; yellow gems; 'baby' die - PTI; Copic markers; Postage Stamp border punch - EK Success

This is just so cute and simple and bright and happy! I love all those things!
That IS a fabulous sketch design and I love how you rocked it with this bright and hapbee card, Colleen! All the elements work so smashingly together! I love the "baby" word, but I can also imagine this card without it. The occasion possibilities for which you could use this card are endless! And making a timeless all-purpose card is an amazing talent to have, which you do!! Thank you so much for playing in my second NBUS Challenge!! Hugs, Darnell

Gorgeous, big, orange flowers and the touch of cork is wonderful. Cute card!
Delightful! Or should I say beelightful?
Such a brilliant way CASE-ing a card. By using a bit of cork you add texture and another interesting focal point. Well done! Perfect for a baby; great mix and match. BEEautiful!!
