A Mellow Moss kind of Christmas...and news

Whoo hoo!  Time for me to start posting some Christmas cards.  It's not far off.  Yikes!  I never feel prepared, even though the date never changes from year to year.  ;-)

Both cards featured today have something in common:  a Mellow Moss card base.  The first card sports a 'tree' (branch stamp from All That Glitters - Flourishes), with a punched ornament dangling from it.  The Stampin' Up! Ornament Punch has white-embossed flowers from Elements of Style on it.  The sentiment is from a Mark's Finest Papers set, the name of which I don't recall.  It's long gone.

The next card has the same K & Co. die cut strip with a holly pattern, but the focal point is a bit different.  The scalloped oval was stamped with Inspired By Stamping's Festive Frames foliage and sentiment.  I topped it off with a snippet of more K & Co. goodness:  holly leaves and berries die cuts.

These cards made good use of some snippets I had on hand, and it made the creating go much faster.

As for my news:  sadly, I've had to step down from The Card Concept design team.  I've got too much on my plate in my personal life.  Being on a DT is a challenge for me right now, so I had to say goodbye.  I really like the ladies at The Card Concept.  Everyone is so easy going, supportive and kind.  I will miss being part of their team.

Have a wonderful day, and thanks so much for stopping by.  :)

These are both so soft and pretty with the Mellow Moss. I especially like the pretty red stamping in the oval on the second card. Too bad about having to leave your DT stuff behind. It's hard to keep up and enjoy it when you're working.

Two gorgeous cards, Colleen. And about your news...I think anyone who's ever been on a design team can sympathize. They are enjoyable, but a lot of work, too.

Such beautiful cards, Col! Really love the soft green and those embossed bits! I'm sure you will be greatly missed at The Card Concept, but at the same time, good for you for keeping family first. Thanks so much for stopping by my neck of the woods! Hugs!

I love both cards, but the 2nd id my favorite!! I know what you mean Colleen, they are fun, but if you don't have a lot of time it's an added pressure to get it all done

After your mail you have been on my mind every-single-day. Did not know how to write it but I know how you feel and I am sending lots of love and hugs your way. Take care sweetie. It's the right decision to step down and take time for all that matters you. If I can help let me know.
Your card is lovely and you know how I think about your creative talent.
I'll mail you soon but a lot has happened here too. We are doing well; don't worry.

You have to take care of yourself & your family first for sure - glad you stepped down to give yourself the time you need :)
These are so pretty - and I SO get that panicky 'not ready yet' feeling!
