Blue Butterfly

I don't see many blue butterflies in my neck of the woods, but I wish we did. It is a rare sight, and such a treasure when they do visit my garden.  I decided to pay homage to them with today's card.

I'm trying to use up patterned paper (gonna take me a while...), and grabbed some pumpkin and white papers. Blue is a complementary color to orange on the color wheel, and what a nice bold pairing they make!  I stamped a Verve Each Day butterfly, and grabbed some blue Copic markers to create this little guy.  After trimming it, I added Ranger's Glossy Accents over the entire thing.  The photo below doesn't do it justice.

Thank you SO much for dropping by today!

Stamps: Big Notes III - Inspired by Stamping; butterfly - Each Day - Verve Paper: white - Papertrey Ink; patterns - Pumpkin Pie - Stampin' Up! Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black - Tsukineko Fibers: white seam binding - Hug Snug - The Zipper Stop Accessories & Tools: flower sequins - Darice; white button; Sparkling Clear sequins - Pretty Pink Posh; Copic markers; Glossy Accents - Ranger

Oh, that's very pretty, Colleen! I'd love to see a butterfly like that in my garden. There are so many different kinds, I'm sure there's one just like this somewhere. I've always loved blue and orange together. You've combined them beautifully in just the right balance!

So so pretty...I hear you about using up patterned papers. I have so much and with little crafting these days I have little hope of ever making a dent...it just gets older and older ha!

This is so lovely and one of my favorite colors. Sorry I haven't been by to comment as much lately but I had a busy summer. I love your cards and enjoy watching them on Instagram. Hope you are well! XO
