Vintage Cherries for a birthday

Clean and simple card lovers, you might want to turn around before you go any further. This card is chock-full of busy details!

I was playing with brown and cream patterned paper scraps, cut them into interesting angles, then assembled them all on a rectangular cream cardstock panel (before adding to the card base).

The focal point is a cluster of many things: a K & Co. vintage cherry illustration die-cut set on a doily, a few sequins in gold and white, some pearls, a tiny bit of gold washi tape, old Irish linen twine (curbside trash-picking score!), and a tiny tag stamped with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink's Tiny Tags.

Even the cherry illustration die-cut came pre-embellished with raised glittery accents.

Thanks for taking a look at my collage-style card today! Hope I didn't make you motion-sick with all that busyness going on!

It's fun to play like this sometimes. I go back and forth, not able to settle on any one style. This came together beautifully. Not too busy for any part of it to overwhelm the other. I still have some of that paper, too. I have so MUCH paper! Love the vintage cherry image.

Well, no, it's not CAS, but then I'd not say it was cluttered either. It is so elegant in its design and vintage feel. It has just enough, and not too much. Beautiful!

What a lovely collage of pretty bits and pieces...it takes quite a design eye to assemble all of these and you certainly have that and more! I love how you showcased those darling cherries...this is just vintage bliss! :) Love this, Colleen!
