Pawprints sympathy

Good morning!  It's Saturday, hooray, the weekend is here at last!  I remember when Friday night was a big deal, and after work I'd have so much energy to go out on the town and stay up late.  Now, I'm doing a commando crawl to Friday, and just collapse on the couch Friday night.  Ha ha!  Last night I watched Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, got a bath and went to bed.  Exciting, huh?  LOL

The card I'm sharing today is one of many (unfortunately) that I've needed for folks who lost furry loved ones this year.  It's so hard to say goodbye to our little companions.

I used My Favorite Things Cross Stitch Circle dies, raised up with craft foam, and the top layer was stamped with a little paw print from Papertrey Ink's With Sympathy: Loss of a Pet.

And....I'm pleased to say I sold one of these cards on my Etsy shop recently (my first sale!).

Well, here's to a good weekend, one that is busy or peaceful, focused or relaxed....whatever you wish it to be!

This is the perfect card for what is indeed a sad event. It's sweet, simple but very powerful! Rest up Monday's come along far too quickly!

This is absolutely perfect for a sad occasion, Colleen. I just bought a pet sympathy set and should make some up ahead of time. I love your idea. Congrats on your first sale! You sound like me with the Friday nights. It was so hard toward the end. Now I'm reenergized.

Hard cards to make. LOVE the cross stitch circle dies and the PTI stamps!

I'm right there with you regarding Fridays...I'm so tired by the time dinnertime arrives I usually need to take a quick power nap just to make it through the evening carpooling the kids! Coffee at 3PM just isn't cutting it anymore!

Your card is absolutely sweet and I love the pure white, CAS design. I'm sure the recipient appreciates and treasures it.

Congrats on the first Etsy sale...not surpised! Well done!
Hope you had a nice weekend!

A lovely card, Colleen. Sweet, but yet serious, as befits the situation. Pets truly are part of the family.
