Have Faith

Hello friends!

It's a beautiful day here in NJ and I've got a couple of windows open to let in the sunny, slightly cool air.  I hear that sunshine and outdoor air are helpful to combat the coronavirus COVID-19.  Our school system just announced that all students will be remotely learning for the next two weeks, to keep 'social distancing' at a proper ratio.  I believe I will still need to go to the office, as we have only about 25 people working there.  I'm taking the precautionary measures, washing my hands frequently, cleaning surfaces like cell phones, remote controls, computer keyboards, sink handles, etc with germ-killers.  Even more importantly, I'm praying over everyone, and giving this matter to God!

Speaking of faith...I made this card a while back.  It came together without a pre-planned idea in my head.  After matting the My Favorite Things sentiment (which has a splash of watercolor on it) on a Brilliant Blue (from Stampin' Up!) cardstock rectangle die cut, I wanted to balance the bright pop with lots of white.

My Favorite Things All Occasions Sentiments sentiment, Sensational Stitched Flowers dies, Stitched Mini Scallop Rectangle die

I added a bunch of white flower die cuts behind the sentiment panel, peeking out, with some fully visible.  As I put it all together, it occurred to me that this is exactly what faith is:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 KJV

On the card we see the sentiment, the bold declaration to 'have faith', and there, subtly in the background, is a multitude of flowers, which you cannot see unless you look for them.
Well, I thought it was cool, anyway. 😉

Stay well, stay safe, and God bless each of you!

Lovely card, Colleen, and I enjoyed reading your post, too. God has this!

You card is beautiful and so perfect with what's happening around us right now. I agree, it's all in God's hands.

I love all these elements - the beautiful white with a pop of Brilliant Blue and the watercolor! Really cute to do the white on white stitched flowers. We'll have to wait and see what happens with this coronavirus. Our statistics are skewed because we don't have much testing being done, but so far I believe we've had worse flu seasons. I like that we're taking no chances. I'm certainly not!
