Violet Sympathy

Hello friends!  I regret selling this pretty Stampin' Up! set called Flower Garden!  I go through phases where I de-stash, and sometimes I unload things I wish I hadn't.  Anyone with me?

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder sentiment, Flower Garden violet, Tufted Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder, Stitched Nested Die; vintage white ribbon from my Mom-Mom; pearls

Before I sold that set, I had stamped a few images and kept them in a box.  I used a fun Stitched die around the flower - perfect size, and the angles of it complement the tufted embossing - and assembled a purple-y sympathy card.  The camera rarely enjoys working with purple cards, though.  This looks much brighter here than it is in real life.

Today is the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and truly as the sentiment on the card says, for some things there are just no words.

Lovely card, Colleen. And YES, I have done the same thing! In fact, I was just looking for a stamp the other day that I must have given away. It would have been perfect for an upcoming card!

Such a cute card, Colleen! I've destashed quite a bit, of craft supplies, of clothes. I haven't regretted what I've given away, as much as the destashing made me regret buying them in the first place. I have more supplies than I can ever get made, and more clothes than I can ever get worn. Especially now, when I'm not going out as much. Going to the grocery store has become an occasion to dress up!

Yes, it's a sad day. I've been seeing images on French television today, reminding me of that sad and shocking day. I was back in the States when it happened. It was horrible.

So lovely. The sentiment is sweet and true and the violet image is a graceful thing. I sometimes miss a stamp I gave up, but I know it was the best idea at the time.
