Baroque Birthday

This morning, I invited my Creativity to sit down with me for a cup of coffee and some card-making.  It politely refused.  I am not sure where it went, but I haven't seen it all day.

After almost a week without making cards, I began going into withdrawal.  So I sat down anyway.

I used a sketch by Inkspirations, flipping my sentiment panel to the other side:
And a color scheme by Off The Wall Craftiness (I only now realize that challenge is over):

Eh, what can I say?  My card certainly doesn't rock my boat, but I've done worse.

I'll be back with another post in a short while.   While Creativity went out today, I managed to pull off a decent sympathy card, even without its help.

Stay tuned!

Happy Stamping,

Colleen

Oh, Colleen, you are too funny!! And entirely too hard on yourself. This is a lovely card. Those colors (even if they are "past due"!) are quite wonderful. Rich and warm. I really like what you did with the sketch. I've never used staples on a card before, but I love how this looks on yours. I hope that Creativity will accept your invitation next time--but I think you did just fine without. :)!!!

I agree with Emily! You're absolutely too hard on yourself! I love this card! I wish I could just sit down and try to create my own card. Nothing happens except frustration for me! Thanks for sharing your awesome creations even when you don't think they are!

this is so pretty, I have that same stubborn creativity, lol, but I see it came right back to you.

Lovely card, Colleen! Of course, I see my fav color, Rich Razzleberry on your creation. It mixes really well with the other colors. I see you do perfectly well with or without Creativity paying a visit.

I love the colours in this card, they are so warm and inviting. I love that you used the Baroque motif stamp for your focal point, it looks lovely and the sentiment on the ovals is the perfect finish. Thanks for playing along with the Inkspirations challenge this week.

Awesome card Colleen! I love the bold statement the colours, the stamped image & the DSP make together. The stapled ribbons on the tag is a great technique. TFS :)
