Play Date Cafe 72 - Happy Flowers

It's a week of bright, happy colors once again at the Play Date Cafe!

These colors remind me of big, bold flowers, so I came up with this:

The big flower heads actually remind me more of lollipops.   :)

I used a Stampin' Up! set called Artistic Etchings, plus circle punches (1 3/4", 1 1/4" and 1") to create my flowers.  The stems and leaves are from another SU set called Time Well Spent, and the orange polka dots on my card base - Polka Dot background stamp.

I tied my bouquet together with Pink Sorbet twine from The Twinery

After punching out my flowers, I had some leftovers.  With those, I made another similar card:

Which card do you like better?  I'm curious!

Enough about my cards, it's time for you to see what my teamies at the Cafe have come up with:

OHHHH! Two cards!! WOW! Now that is awesome:) I love that second card with all the gems in the center of the flowers! I love how the flower stems are not colored in--making the flower the focus--CLEVER!! Great use of twine too! Beautifully done, Col!!

Wow these are great Colleen. I was stumped with the colors, but in looking at everyone's cards, everyone has done such a nice job! I think both of your cards are great, but I like the first one a little more. I like the elegance of the flowers (So creative) I also like the polka dots!

Love your card . . . so light yet also colourful. I can't choose between them - like the plain paper colours of flowers on the second, but like the lightness of the first.

Colleen, this is awesome. I love all the cheerful colors and the flowers remind me of lollipops, too. Your polka dot bg looks great. I really would hate to have to choose which I like best...very hard to do. I'm crazy over both. You did good with this happy card!!!!!

I love when I can get 2 cards out of one. I like them both very vibrant and cheerful. I would have to say the second is my fav though. The jewel centers really just add a bit of unique to is. Both are great though.
