Washing O' The Green

It looks like I've hung these shamrocks on a laundry line, doesn't it?
This card took a long time to make, even though it's relatively simple in design.  Stamping, fussy-cutting, tying onto the laundry line....it took a couple of hours.  I usually send my Irish relatives a card for this holiday, but I'm sorry folks:  this is not the one that you'll find in your mailbox!  LOL

My birthday is on St. Patrick's Day, so this holiday has always been a super special day to me.  With a name like Colleen, you can bet I'm Irish, too (half Irish)!

The stamps are both from Studio G (no name on each small set, though).  I picked up 3 sets at $1.00 each at my local AC Moore craft store.  The twine is Peapod from The Twinery.

Thanks for joining me today!

Can we say totally totally adorable? I know you are Irish, because everything you touch turns to GOLD! :-) I only have a wee bit so that explains a lot. (wink) Hugs my dear!

Tis my birthday too Colleen! So, I love the card! I love the swirls on the shamrocks!

Quick story....I was going to be a C-section baby. My mom choose 3/17 for the date. There is some Irish in our family and several people with red hair. So, the doctor, Dr. Aide, was his name, started to fill out the birth certificate. He put down the name Patricia thinking that was what mom was going for. Anyway, before she went under - he asked what would be Patricia's middle name - she scowled at him and said "Patricia was too "pat" of an name/answer" and my name was going to be Christine. Get it - too pat of a answer! Whatever, later she said she liked the name Colleen but I was still daddy's little Crissy. My brother is 10 years older than me and I was sort of unexpected. Anyway, happy birthday early! I have two friends that shares the same day and I need to get on their cards. Ummm, maybe I can make an extra one? My cards are no where as cool as yours but it is always fun to get a surprise!

Thanks for stopping by my blog...Us Irish girls (born a McGrath) have to stick together! (Not my fault I married a Scot! Well, I guess it is, don't hold it against me!)

This is another handmade beauty. A gorgeous card for St. Patricks day. We don't celebrate St. Ptricks'day here in Holland but I know for sure that the(Irish) recipient will love it. It's gorgeous. It has been quite a job and time consuming :) but this beauty is worth all the effort!Fabulous!
