Citrus Thank You

I actually had time to make a non-design team card the other day!  I pulled out some designer paper from the DCWV Lemon Flower stack (hence my citrusy title) for the first time.  Love the fresh green and deep yellow:

The topiary is from Flourishes' DIY Topiaries set, and I've had this one colored and in a box for a long while.  I just trimmed around it and put it onto the card with dimensionals.

This card will go to a friend who has been such a good listener.  There've been plenty of times I needed a shoulder to cry on since my daughter became ill this year.

I'm happy to report that my daughter has made great strides in getting well.  She's not totally out of the woods, but she's worlds better than she was just a few short months ago.  Thank you so much for any prayers you've said on her behalf.  I'm so very grateful!

Colleen

Hi, Colleen. I haven't visited your blog in a while -- longer than I thought, I guess. I didn't realize your daughter was/is sick. 'Hope she'll be completely better soon. XO Gail XO

Love the blocks of colour with the topiary at the end. So glad you have a faithful friend you can talk to and who will just listen. Wish I lived closer so I could do the same!

So pretty Colleen! I love this paper stack! It has awesome color combos! The color blocking is great and perfect with the sentiment and image!
So glad your daughter is making good progress! I think about her often. It is a long and rough road, but such a relief when it is behind you (Not a daily struggle.)

Colleen isn't it wonderful to create just for fun? Your friend will love it; these colors look so fresh and they are giving this card a "Mediterranean" look that I just LOVE. It made me think of Tuscany (Italy). Wow; and I love that elegant sentiment with the gorgeous pearls.
Another gorgeous card that has your trademark on it :)....Pure beauty!

I am so happy for you that your daughter is doing so much better now! And I know for sure that she achieved this because her parents are always there for her.And support her. You really are a wonderful mother!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Somehow I missed this post, Colleen, but that was all for the best--because I'm holding it in my hot little hands RIGHT NOW!!!! Oh, this is such a beauty. And as lovely as your photos are, it is even that much nicer in real life. I love these colors (Honestly--*Lemon Stack*??? Swoon!!!)--and your topiary is fabulous!! But my favorite parts of this wonderful card are that (1) you were able to create it for fun and (2) that wonderful heartfelt message you wrote inside. You are more than welcome!! Thank you for brightening my day with some beautifully made happy mail. I'm all warm and fuzzy inside now. :D :D :D
