I love it when I am able to come up with a concept of a card, create it, photograph it, and upload it to the blog within a couple of hours. That is SUPER rare for me! It helps that this is a clean and simple design; makes things move along much quicker.
My inspiration came from two things:
On white cardstock, I used an Anna Griffin stamp three times - in Going Gray and Basic Gray dye inks, and in Versafine Onyx Black. Tied on a recycled gift bag handle/ribbon, put on a sentiment and bling, and there you go.
I have to show you the amazing difference between dye inks and Versafine, in case you don't already know it:
The Basic Gray ink is in the top part of this photo and has a more 'puddled' unclear look when used with this stamp. The bottom row uses Versafine, which is meant to bring out the details better in a stamp. It sure does! I was thinking "Oh, these Anna Griffin stamps (bought on eBay a while back) are no good!" But with the right ink, well, that is a different story. Guess I'll keep 'em!
The sentiment is one I need to remind myself of allllll the time:
Thanks so much for being here! I hope your day is a good one. No, make that a GREAT one!

My inspiration came from two things:
- CR84FN challenge -
- and a curtain panel from Bed Bath and Beyond:

Just wonderful! I do like the graduated stamping of the lovely image and the flash of pink in the ribbon and gem is lovely. Thanks for playing along with CR84FN!
This is marvelous Colleen! Love that you showed the curtain panel too (very pretty by the way!). Isn't ink a funny thing...we sure need an assortment don't we ~ HA!!!
Very pretty, Colleen...love the recycled ribbon, especially the beautiful color. And, yes, there is a big difference in those inks.

OHHHH! That curtain panel is GORGEOUS!! And I love love love your take on the color story! WOW! You nailed this card/inspiration pic! LOVE your style;) YOU ROCK!
I think I have this stamp. What a beautiful use for it! Aren't those curtains pretty, too? Oh, how I love your card, and more so that it was so quick and easy to create!
Anna Griffin stamps are gorgeous and detailed. I have only one of her stamp sets which I got as RAK, and I was never able to use them with the local inks available here. They always give a puddled look and so does the penny blacks. I will get versafine now, thank you for this, I needed to know the right ink. Your card looks gorgeous even with the puddled stamp design.
Love your inspiration adn your take on the color challenge! Beautiful card!
Oh I love everything about this: the colors, the design and your sentiment with the pink gemstone. So Pretty!
