Play Date Cafe 102 - Wishing You Bouquets of Joy

It's time for another Play Date Cafe challenge!  This week our sponsor is

and our design team got to pick out some goodies.  Thank you, Stampotique!  I chose these images:

and

I can see so many possibilities for these neat stamps.  Here's how I used them with our color story --

This is such an eclectic assortment, and I kind of like it!
The bees were stamped all over the orchid cardstock, but you really can't see it unless you're close up:

I punched some old Stampin' Up! Vintage Violet cardstock, and mounted it behind a book page and a piece of lace.  The lilac clip art is from Crafty Secrets.

This button (and many others) was passed on to me by my aunt, who holds the button collection that her mother had.  Thanks, Aunt Kay!  See the green stuff on the button?  I cannot scratch it off, but it worked out really well for our color challenge.

I used Crystal Effects on both bees, just 'cause.

You'll want to head over to The Play Date Cafe and see what the rest of our crafty team has made for you.  We hope you get a chance to play with us, too!
Thanks a bunch for joining me today.  :)

These are great stamps! I love the shiny bees and who needs decorative paper when you can stamp your own perfectly?

Man, isn't it amazing what you discover in others work? Such a beautiful card and I didn't even realize Stampotique carried the one stamp (I have the bee)...so now I need to shop around again at the store to find the other one. Thanks for playing with Stampotique stamps this week ;-)

What a fun and unusual card! I love it with all the fun details! It is really neat that you can use one of the buttons from your family's stash! Most of mine from my mom and grandmother are just basically shirt buttons. The bee is fun how you stamped it on the background. I gotta get out my bee stamp - I saw an ad once that said "What's buzzin' cuzin?" Though my cousin lives only a couple of hours from me - we rarely talk etc unless there is a death in the family. Maybe I will make this card this weekend and just touch base with her, just beecuz! Love the touch of pearls on the vase too. Great card!

It's always a treat to drop in and see what you're up to, and it's a pretty sure bet you'll always have something new and beautiful to share. I can't imagine how you create such magnificence so consistently! Love these colors and the originality of your image mix and design. Would love to have a stamp like th Crafty Secrets lilacs in vase!

This is just lovely Colleen. When I looked at the inspiration I saw "bright"-but the way you did is "soft" is just so elegant. The crystal effect bees are darling and I love that button....no need to scratch the green off-it's shabby chic! Next week you will see a couple dabblings of my Shabby Chic....pinterest was a big influence. Have a wonderful Sunday with your family-mine is away for most of the day painting a card. I get to play with in interruptions....lol
