Viva La Verve #4 - Hugs and Kisses

Here's the final sketch of January for the Viva La Verve challenge (you have one more day if you want to play!):

I'm delighted and amazed that from now on, the fourth and final sketch challenge each month from Verve will be a clean and simple design.  That's just up my alley!  I do find the typical Verve sketches to be tricky.

My Valentine uses retired and oh-so-gorgeous Stampin' Up! paper, a thick strip of their pink grosgrain ribbon, and a few embellishments.  This was a breeze to make!

The die cut is Martha Stewart, sentiment Verve (of course!), and the little glittery chipboard heart stickers are by Recollections.

I'm entering this at Really Reasonable Ribbon too:  use red and pink with a ribbon.

Thanks to all of you who have commented on ways to combat hand pain, and wished me well.  I liked Lisa's "one day on the computer/one day off" approach...though it would be so hard to stay away!!  LOL
I think our strangely-warm winter is a benefit to my hands.  It's going to be 64 degrees here today in New Jersey.  Totally weird!

See you in a little bit with another post for the day, then tomorrow with a brand new Play Date Cafe challenge.  :-)

Colleen

CAS, but yet gorgeous!!!! I have a ton and I mean ton of SU retired papers and I am pretty sure I could wallpaper the entire house on just those alone, and I am pretty sure I have the same collection you used here. I am loving those hearts!!!

So pretty Colleen! Love the paper & the hearts too! So sorry about all hand pain you have been having! I find too much time on the computer affects mine too. I have backed off for a little bit, but it is hard to stay away. Blogging definitely takes a toll, but it is so much fun!

A beautifully clean and simple card! I do love what you did with the sketch. I'm way far behind in my blog visiting, but to come here and see so many beautiful things in one sitting has been a real treat. I wanted to tell you it was sweet of you to mention that Lockhart cupcake card you saved. It was the only other time I used that stamp. A shame, as I really do like the stamp. Have a good week!
