Gate Fold Butterfly Card

Monday again!  I want to show you a card I made months ago but never posted.  I did my very first EVER gate-fold card!  It wasn't difficult at all.  I am a big baby when it comes to trying different kinds of folds.  This was easy, though.

I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Took the kids rock climbing last night with our church youths.  One had fun, one did not.  We're proud of both for trying something new.  I'd like to give it a go myself sometime!

Hope your weekend was a good one.  Have a wonderful day!

Dimensions: 4.25" x 5.5"

Beautiful card, Colleen! ADORE that butterfly. I personally like this fold. In a way, it's even more flexible in its design possibilities than a "normal" fold, don't you think?

Me too I cringe at trying new folds - and then I'm happy with them when I do. Go figure! I think this is gorgeous - especially that stunning butterfly!
Good for the kiddos trying something new! Rock-climbing looks so intimidating but you never know until you try :)

Your gate fold card is beautiful. The butterfly really made a gorgeous catch for keeping it together. I've made a few of those and they really are easy.

Rock climbing is something you really need to try. I'm thinking you would enjoy it.

Gorgeous design on the front and a beautiful butterfly and frame below it.

Love the rock climbing shots. My son's class did this a few months ago - wish I could have done it with them!

Oh, wow! Colleen, this gate-fold card is so stunning! You did a fabulous job with it. I love your fussy cutting on that lovely butterfly and all the extra special details you added, too. Kudos to your girls for trying rock climbing! My daughter will be going on a rockclimbing outing with her Girl Scout troop next month and can't wait to try it. Looks like fun!

I'm a baby about trying different folds. I don't know why I shy away from them because they are really a lot of fun. Love your butterfly! I still haven't got the butterflies done for my bathroom.
