Phone Case Packaging, Too Pretty to Throw Away

Hello everyone!  Last time I posted, it was just before the weekend.  My, how time is flyin' here at the Dietrich household!  Glad I have some posts that are semi-ready in draft form, like this one.  :-)

I love to recycle bits of things, and I am sure many of you do as well.  On this card, I used a bit of packaging from my Cath Kidston iPhone case, which I adore!  Anyone know if Cath Kidston makes scrapbook paper??

Here's the phone case with packaging:

I used some bits of retired papers from Stampin' Up! (I have bags and bags of scraps!), and some pretty Scallop Crochet lace from Inspired By Stamping.

It's been a while since I played at Pixie's Crafty Snippets Playground, and I'm off to see them.   Hello, ladies!

Isn't this sentiment pretty?  Love the mix of fonts.  It's from Big Wishes II from Inspired By Stamping.

As this school year is winding down, there are so many activities going on with my kids.  I'm working part time right now, temporarily, at one of our schools.  And I've got reconstructive foot surgery (ouch) coming up in late June, so there's prep I need to do for the time that I will be 'down'.  I sincerely hope that you'll hang in there with me!  My posting might be erratic, but I definitely have cards to show you.  Crafting remains a constant for me, especially now with my new space.  (insert heavenly sigh here)

Before I head out the door, a warm welcome to my new followers and email subscribers!  Thank you for investing some time to visit my blog and check out my stuff.  It means a lot to me.  :-)  You are always welcome here.

Wowzers Colleen I love my polka dot case but this is gorgeous!! Pretty card you made from the packaging, thrifty girl!! You know I'll be around, I hope the foot surgery goes well. I had a large cyst removed from mine a few years ago, crutches are a bear!

Too pretty to throw away, that's for certain! Beautiful card. I do love the red floral and bold sentiment. I'm glad you're enjoying your crafty space. I rearranged mine over the long weekend and it gave me a real burst of creativity. I can't wait to do more remodeling and painting in there. Don't worry about not getting to post too often. I enjoy them anytime they pop into my inbox. I know you'll be around!

Yikes, upcoming surgery? That doesn't sound like any fun at all, Colleen. I can understand why you are so busy. I love how you recycled that gorgeous packaging on this super pretty card.

PS I can relate to the end-of-year busy-ness. We are afflicted, too!

Well what a big bummer....foot surgery??? Having pain in your feet makes your whole body ache, I swear. Yikes I had to have bunions removed from both my feet years ago. Let me tell you they are back-but they just don't hurt anymore because they cut the tendon in between my toes....TMI right...lol I will keep you in my prayers. I am with you on pretty packaging and papers-ribbon-lace. I can look at something and see something entirely different made with it. This packaging is so pretty. You did a great job using it in this creation-it just wonderful.
Bear Hugs,
Carol
