Shabby Chandelier, Rephotographed

It is customary here at Dietrich Designs to show you new stuff that I've recently made.  Well, today, I'm sharing an older card that has appeared on my blog before and deserves one more look.  This chandelier card has gotten over 200 pins on Pinterest, which just floors me.  I despise the old photo of it (you can see the original post HERE) and wanted a re-do with my Canon.

I still have the card in my stash...it's been difficult to part with.  It's not easily mailable, with those big, handmade paper flowers, and anyway -- I just like to look at it.  :D

I used Stampin' Up!'s Bella Toile background stamp on the card base.  The sentiment is from Anna Griffin. The flowers are handmade and hard as a rock!  LOL  My mom touched them and expected them to be much softer.  They're made with scalloped circle-punched pieces, spritzed with water and crumpled up.  I have a mini-tutorial on the old post, if you would like to see it.

On the chandelier panel (stamp from Inkadinkado), I stamped Old French Script by Hero Arts as a subtle background.  The little charm is by Plaid, and I threaded through some gray satin ribbon to 'hang' the chandelier from.  Tiny pearls make an appearance on here, too.  (but of course)

So there you go!  One of my fave cards, rephotographed to make my heart - and eyes - happy.  Hope it brings you some joy, too.  :)

Your photo re-do looks fabulous. That's such an elegant card. Just put it on display in your craft room..or your main living area where everyone can see it.

Beautiful re-do on the photograph! I thought the other photo presented a beautiful card, but I see the color difference now. As the creator of the card it's really disheartening when the card is not well represented in the photo. I'm struggling with that lately. Those flowers are beautiful. I love the pearl cluster, too. Gorgeous card, Colleen!

This card is really very stunning. I love it just as it is but when I first laid eyes on it (on Pinterest) the panel stood out and I thought that was the whole card. I found that so stunning that I made a similar card (a thank you) just like the panel alone. I used different products but the recipient really loved it.
