Happy November! The anniversary card below definitely reminds me of the autumn and winter, with its warm colors and plaid design.
A very special couple in our family recently celebrated a milestone anniversary and we threw a surprise party for them. I tried to tailor the card to their tastes, and they do love plaid. Since I had no plaid patterned paper, I made my own with Inspired By Stamping's Background Basics Lines. That was fun! The cereal box-chipboard hearts were coated in champagne chunky glitter. The sentiment is Hero Arts Best Wishes.
I added a unique wooden button from the stash my aunt gave me, lovingly collected over many years, tied off with genuine vintage thread.
I do hope our relatives liked this, as it was made with lots of thought and attention to personalized detail. It's a rather unexpected design for an anniversary card...what do you think of it?

Perfection! I love the colors and the plaid, and the chunky glitter looks amazing! These colors really appeal to me. Great colors for a fall anniversary. Just wanted to pop in, Colleen. I've been away from all things blog related and I'll never catch up. Love seeing all you've been up to!
It's wonderful to receive a card you know someone took special care with and this is it! Your family members are sure to love it. I really go for those chunky glitter hearts.
Love those chunky glittered hearts!
Marisa took the words right out of my mouth!! They were the first thing my eyes went too! Have a great weekend ;)
Such a pretty card! I love your homemade plaid--AND that chunky glitter! Your hearts are so pretty :)
Oh my Colleen, I'm sure they LOVED your card. I just got that background set and look forward to playing with it. Your plaid turned out beautifully! I thought it was plaid paper! Don't you wish we could still buy those old buttons? That one is perfect on this card. Oh and that vintage thread? Amazing!
Hugs,
Ellen
What a sweet card, Colleen! Love the plaid background and those wonderful heart with all the glitter! Have a wonderful weekend, hugs!
Hello my friend! So nice to come visit here again and see such beautiful cards. I love this one for multiple reasons: your plaid is so comfy and cozy, the scalloped edge around the plaid is very dynamic, love those homemade hearts, and that so much loving attention went into its creation. Of course the happy couple will love it.
I hope all is well with you. Will go check out more posts to catch up a little.
No more MFW - I'm still sad. Ce la vie.
So pretty!
