Faux-embossing is an easy technique that I enjoy. There's a good tutorial HERE on Splitcoaststampers, if you'd like to see it in action.
I punched out multiple hearts and secured them to my card base. After the effort, I did not want to cover too much of it with a large stamped image, so went with a smaller one from Stampin' Up!'s Measure Of A Life.
It seemed a little bare with just that rectangle image down in one corner, so added a little doily die cut plus white Liquid Pearls.
A Mother's Day message is inside, though the outside looks like it could be for some other occasion.
Thanks so much for coming by today!

- Number one: I don't have that many real Mom's Day stamps, and got tired of using the few I do have.
- Number two: Mother's Day cards are often given to people besides one's own mom. A 'Thinking of You' sentiment covers the bases in these cases.

Wonderful technique, Colleen, and those hearts show love for a mother. I do like that pretty sunflower image you added.
You got right busy with your Mother's Day cards! Love this one. You did such a perfect job with the placement of those hearts. Love the image and all the warmth. Good luck with sales!

GASP!!! Colleen this is stunning! It's simple and striking at the same time, love it!!
Simple but definitely elegant. I did not know about this technique but the result is gorgeous. It does not look bare at all; with the doily and the bow you just needed enough. Wow!

Super fun technique!! I might be "borrowing" that
Great Card! So simple looking, but elegant! Thank you for sharing!
This is perfect for Mother's Day! And you're right, many do send Mother's Day cards to someone special other than their mother.
Hi Colleen
