Pale Blue Engagement

Hello there!  Got a little pale blue engagement card to share today.

I made an all-white focal point by using some die-cut splendor:  Romantic Rectangles and Fantastic Flourish One from Spellbinders, topped with pearls and a silver-embossed Papertrey Ink sentiment.

I delivered this one to A Beautiful Touch a couple of months ago (maybe more?), and I hope it sold.  :-)
Well, I'm crying "uncle":  it's hard working many hours, and trying to balance family and "me" time. You got me.  I don't know how many crafter/bloggers juggle full time work, and then sit on many design teams (and therefore post often), and still have kids at home.  Wish I had their secret! I suppose maybe if I didn't go to bed so early...but hey, a gal needs her sleep, right?  I ain't givin' that up!

Thanks so much for dropping by today.  It means a lot to me!

Stamps: Propose a Toast - Papertrey Ink Paper: white - PTI; Pool Party - SU Ink: Versamark - Tsukineko Accessories & Tools: pearls; silver embossing powder; Fantastic Flourish One, Romantic Rectangle dies - Spellbinders; Regal Flourishes embossing folder - Sizzix/Tim Holtz

I don't know how people manage it either, Colleen. I don't know how I have managed it over the years. Only one design team currently, though. Do dogs count as kids? They need grooming and exercise and lots of love and attention. 9 1/2 months and the job will be done, though. Gorgeous card today! I have always loved a blue and white combo and, of course, the embossing and pearls and pretty die cuts. I'm sure someone snatched this beauty right up! Hang in there. You'll work out some kind of routine. Can't give up stamping!

My time is at 3:30 in the morning! That's when I get everything done! LOL!! People say I am crazy (probably true! HA!) ... but it's the only time the whole house is asleep and there is QUIET for me! So it works! :) I love love love your card! LOVING the pearls!!!!!

I remember felling that way at times as well! It's really hard to find that perfect balance that's for sure! Your card is beautiful.

Your card is gorgeous! I love the embossed combination and those colors with the silver. I hear your lament! That is why I didn't blog for over a year. It's so difficult not to be all in. I would love to be on a design team, but haven't even tried yet. I have no idea how people can do it all.

Colleen this card is so you. I love your style, This is a lovely and elegant gem.

Here is full time working girl for the last 16 years.... Our sons were so lucky to have both ther parents at home for lunch when they were young. We both worked near our house. And Marcel was working at a school; he also had all the vacations. It's not easy and I don't have any useful tips. It depends on so many aspects of your life. And what works well for does not necessary have to work for you. Well just one thing...eat good food, fresh veggies and fruits and get fresh air. Take a wlk during lunch break and get enough sleep. And remember sweetie; it's not about quantity but quality. Even if you were only posting once a month. It's about the fun of creating; it's not a competition to post as many as possible. Your style will always be wonderful!
A big hug from all of us for you and your family!

Colleen, your card is classy, elegant, gorgeous. I totally relate to your comments, as I face the same struggles. Working, four kids, one DT...if I spend time making a card then I don't have lots of time to blog it. If I surf blogland, then I don't have time to make anything. Not enough time in the day! (And yes, sleep is one of my favorite activities!) I'm at the point where I accept the fact that I can't do it all (gasp! did I say that?!). If i can steal some crafty time, then I enjoy it. If I'm lacking mojo, then I blog surf. I'm glad i saw this because your card is just lovely! (Not only that, but I grew up in Westmont and my mom still lives there! We must be pretty close!)

So beautiful--just like a box from Tiffany's! I hear you on the balance. I've been creating (not as much as I'd like) but there's no time for blogging. Life does tend to butt in!! I'm glad you are still finding some occasional "me" time. Gotta keep sane, right? I'm thinking of you--hang in there, my friend!!
