How about a quick (in my book) Halloween card without much effort?
I stamped the *beautiful* swirl from Baroque Motifs off to one side, to represent the wind. The Halloween sentiment is from Inkadinkado's All Hallow's Eve. I used a Chocolate Chip marker by Stampin' Up! to ink only a portion of the sentiment, because it was too long to fit in the space.
Helpful Hint for a clear stamp: I had never used this stamp before, and it did not want to take ink very well. I used a nail file (the kind that is a block) to rough it up a bit, and then it worked better. Of course, you have to clean the grit off first, but you know that!
The leaf was fun to do. It is from Autumn Fest, and I used Stampin' Up! markers once again. I began with Pumpkin Pie, then outlined the edges with Tangerine Tango. As a final step, I used Cajun Craze along the edges for a silhouette and in the vein areas, too. I huffed on the stamp to moisten the colors again, then put it to paper. I cut it out and used dimensionals to lay it on the "wind".
That's it! Aside from the fussy cutting, it's very quick.
I'm entering this over at Waltzingmouse, with this sketch for our inspiration:

Love this too!!!!
My kind of Halloween card-not much for spooks and goblins. Really like the leaf layered on the swirl-very pretty.
Another wonderful card Colleen! Love how you popped up the leaf! Thanks for playing along with the WMSC again :)
Another great one! So glad you joined us (once more) for the Waltzingmose Sketch Challenge!
Oh, that is so pretty, Colleen! I love how you did the leaf. It turned out so nicely!! Great fall colors and a super job with the sketch. Your swirly flourish DOES look like the wind! :)
Love the coloring on this fun leaf Colleen! What a wonderful fall card! thanks for playing (twice!) with the WMS sketch!
That leaf is just gorgeous, Colleen. Great job on this Halloween card. I'll tell you something else that works great for those clear stamps, a Staedtler eraser. You can get it in the art dept. at Hobby Lobby if you have one. I got that tip from Patter Cross at Triple the Scraps. Love her website for organizational ideas and tips like this.
this is so pretty! love it!
