Have you ever received Christmas cards that were too pretty to throw away? A lot of those I make into tags for gifts. One in particular, though, I saved to repurpose for this card:
The Santa image comes from a Caspari greeting card, and I trimmed it up just a bit.
I added a gold glittered chipboard frame from K & Company,
a piece of Anna Griffin die cut trim, on which I stamped the word "Greetings" (from Flourishes' Sleigh Ride),
and more gold glittered pieces from K & Co., as well as a button tied with jute twine.
The card took very little time, and I have another one in the works, 'cause this one was so fun and easy!
I'm entering this at The Shabby Tea Room, whose current challenge is "Winter Wonderland", and City Crafter Challenge Blog, whose Sew Fun challenge wants us to sew something. I sewed on this button!
See you tomorrow with a new Play Date Cafe challenge!!

I have several years worth of Christmas cards that are too pretty to throw away. I always think I will do something with them, but end up leaving them in the basket until next year. Your card is making me rethink that! This is so elegant, Colleen!
So pretty! Love the glittery frame - thanks for joining us this week at TSTR! :)
Beautiful! I see why you wanted to repurpose this Santa!
This is fabulous, Colleen! I love repurposing stuff, and it's always great to see what others do with their saved treasures. You saved a super Christmas card to repurpose and I love how you framed it with that glittery frame!! A cool layout and awesome button. Great work. :)
I love how you always repurpose such awesome goodness in your projects! This is a gem!

Very pretty, Colleen! I agree, sometimes those Christmas cards are too pretty to throw away. I need to start using mine and I'm thinking tags would be a great idea, as well as what you've done here.
