I made these two cards on Christmas Eve, believe it or not. Before I had to go to work that night, "all was calm, all was bright." My preparations were over and the house had that 'calm before the storm' feeling to it. These cards were truly quick and easy to make, and allowed me the chance to play with my new Martha Stewart Score Board. Besides, I had already punched out bunches of snowflakes to make this card HERE.
Since my computer crashed last week, we had to get a new one. We now have Windows 7, which has a different picture viewer on it. They removed some photo "fix" tools I relied heavily on before. Now, I have to adjust the light/contrast in my pix with a different program (GIMP, it's free and like Adobe Photoshop, only FREE - did I mention that?) and I'm still getting the hang of it.
Long story short....those snowflakes are actually made with Buckaroo Blue and Bordering Blue cardstock, but they look much darker in my pic. Or maybe it's my new laptop screen that is making colors look different to me. I don't know.
The true colors seem more apparent in these two close-up shots.
I am entering this card in these challenges:
Which do you like better?
Happy Stamping,
Paper: PTI white, Buckaroo Blue, Bordering Blue, Soft Sky, Baja Breeze
Punch: Arctic Snowflake by Martha Stewart
Other: dimensionals, MS Score Board, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder by SU, Big Shot, Textile embossing folder by Cuttlebug, pearls by Queen & Co.

Thanks for playing with Speedy's Friends!
Hard choice to pick as I think they are both beautiful. I also like both embossing folders-two of my favs-but think I like the last colored snowflakes best.
I like the second one better, but I also love the close up that showed the true colors of your blue snowflake. What a great design.
What gorgeous cards. I love the single snowflake as the focal point and the embossed panel. Thanks for joining us at cupcake craft challenge this week. Hugs, Denise x

Hi, Colleen! So fun that we are "neighbors" in some of the challenge galleries this week! I really like *both* of these. Can't choose just one. I really like the colors of the first, but prefer the swiss dot embossing pattern of the second just slightly more. They both have an AWESOME design, beautifully CAS. I'm glad you finally had a chance to share these awesome creations!
LOVE it, Colleen!!! Look at all those lovely dots LOL! Gorgeous CAS Christmas card!
Gorgeous! LOVE the CAS design and I just adore all the texture!! If you have an extra to send, would certainly make nice submission to Take Ten!!
All gorgeous Colleen...I think I like the last photo the best, such clear definition and color! Awesome CAS card...you are the master!
LOVE your CAS!!! I just freeze at the thought of trying to make one lol!
Oh, Colleen, do I have to choose? I love both of these! The embossing and popped up white on white layers are a beautiful showcase for the delightful snowflake! Great job my friend.
