At Just Us Girls, the challenge this week is a Technique: to create a collage with stamps.
I had a leg up, so to speak, because a long while ago, I created my own patterned paper using a text stamp and a flourished stamp. This sat unused until now, and I was able to add a couple more stamps to make it more complete.
5 stamps were used to create this collage:
I punched the edge on top, mounted on black cardstock, then on River Rock card base, added a bow and buttons and -- voila!
One other challenge that inspired me: The Shabby Tea Room's "Vintage Boudoir". Here is their inspiration pic:
For the challenge, we are to be inspired by the colors in the photo (I honed in on the cream tones, and black from the words on the sign) AND use a sewing-themed embellishment (I have buttons and ribbon).
Thanks so much for joining me today! It's finally cold here in the Northeast; really feels like January now. :)

That en Francais stamp is on my wishkist but I haven't found a SU demonstrator here in Holland; argh! But I never get tired of cards where I can see this beauty. You made a perfect match with your stamps. This collage is elegant. I love the French touch. The colors are chic!
Have a lovely Sunday!

OMG.. This is AWESOME!! I can't find the right words to say how thrilled I am. You really did a great collage card and the colors, the stamps, the embellishments, WOW ... the whole design is pretty and stylish and elegant and romantic... and.. I really can feel the magic of Paris. (I'm wishing to myself to go there someday :)) And you, too (if you haven't been there already:) If you are - go twice :)
Hugs

Very elegant Colleen! What a beautiful collection of stamps you've put together! Hope you've had a great weekend ;)
A classic collage all wrapped up in a pretty bow. I love it!
Now how can ooolala measure up with some of the other French lingo in to comments? Oh, well, I tried. If you are going to continue with this fabulous theme - I am going to have to take French lessons or at least find my French dictionary! I really like this card, so soft and lots of fun stuff to look at. I love collages.

Love this Parisian collage Colleen. Love the ribbon & buttons. Paris is one of my favorite cities and this card makes me wish I was there.
Your hand made designer paper is as gorgeous as anything I would buy! Beautiful card!
Another pretty card Colleen! I love how you use and layer your stamps! I am not very good with my stamps and always get disappointed with the outcome. Yours always looks like pretty bought paper! The buttons and bow are great touches too!
How fun that you had some collage paper that you made on hand! This is so pretty and so French! Thanks for playing with Just Us Girls!
Just love this, Colleen! (Of course, you know I love everything you make!)
Superb card - love the combination of stamps you have used.
