10 Minute 'Hello'

This is my second post for today.  Please scroll down one post or click
HERE for my Creative Inspirations card.

Okay, please bear with me as I make - and upload - one more 10 Minute creation for the Flourishes 'Gimme Ten' challenge!  I've CRAVED card-making lately, because my free time has been so limited.  Seems in this busy rush toward the end of school, I can only get snippets of time to craft:  perfect, then, for this 10 Minute challenge.

I'm desperately trying to use up some patterned paper scraps that I've had for too long.

The trio of cards looked a little plain with just paper strips and a sentiment, so I added a pre-punched flower to each, plus a pearl.  Pearls seem to dress up most anything!

One more challenge entered:  Pixie's Crafty Snippets Challenge.  My friend Tammy plays there often, and thought I'd give it a try!

I'll be back tomorrow with two cards -- a Play Date Cafe creation, and an 'Inspired by Stamping' creation.  See you then!

Dimensions: 4.25" x 5.5"
Stamps: Essential Messages - Hero Arts
Paper: Barely Banana, Taken with Teal cardstock, patterned paper strips - SU
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black - Tsukineko
Other: pearls - Queen & Co.; Flower Trio punch - SU

Hi there, welcome to the snippets playground. Your cards are super fast makes and very 1970's. Love those colours. Our first home was pretty much made up from those bright patterns. Pink /mauve in the lounge, bright orange in the kitchen, sunflower yellow in the bathroom, pink and apple green in the bedroom and candy pinki in the hall. Wow, that was a walk down memory lane. hugs Mrs A.

Fabulous use of snippets with a great result! I love the colour combination - it works perfectly Colleen.

Welcome to the snippets playground - a little word of warning though. That Mrs A who hopped in earlier is the playground scallywag, if she offers you a go on her pogo stick, run away :) The other week she ended up in the duck pond for goodness sakes!

Mahalo for sharing your 10 minute creations. I am working on adding cards to my skills this summer - seems I prefer the crafts items more - but I love cards - and yours are a wonderful inspiration!!

What a great way to use up those scraps Colleen! Such a great card, I haven't got scraps that small (yet) just larger pieces that I am trying to use up. Great card and beautiful blog :)
