Summer can officially begin for me: the kids are finished with school today! Yay! What a complete relief. I celebrated by taking a mini-nap ;) and then eventually got some stamping time goin'. Life is GOOD!
Oh, where to begin?? Let's start with that gorgeous sentiment. It's by 'Inspired by Stamping', and I just love it. It is nice and big, and stands on its own beautifully.
There are three challenges I've combined:
See the shimmer on those butterflies? I punched out a bunch of them, and painted them with these colors.
An interesting thing about these awesome paints is that they are very sheer, so you can build the color if you wish. I put two coats on each butterfly. And it dries in a wink, too.
Yesterday was my 14 YO's graduation from 8th grade. I'm so proud of her! After dealing with her personal struggle last year, she had a really good school year and I thank God for her health. Here she is right after yesterday's celebration:
Oh! Don't forget about my giveaway! There's still time to enter for a chance to win a copy of Paper Crafts Magazine July/August issue. (I have a card published in this issue!) Be sure to leave a comment on THIS post to be entered.

There are three challenges I've combined:
- ColourQ #141 - I used paints as three of those colors (the Limeade, Brocade & Navy)
- Creative Inspirations Paints - Inspired by butterflies
- CASE Study challenge - this week's muse inspiration is Joy Taylor and here is her card --
I liked the shape of that flower, and substituted a wreath. I see pearls on Joy's card, and I've got those. The intricate cutwork on Joy's card is echoed in the soft polka dot pattern on my card.

Stunning card - the shimmery butterflies and how they fit together, the pearls - gorgeous! Congrats to your daughter (I see your grade 8s wear eyeliner, too - my daughter's 9 and I was hoping for a few more years before makeup, but it's looking unlikely!)
Gorgeous picture of your daughter! She looks great!
Your card is so fun! I love to paint too! This turned out beautifully!
Colleen, this is so pretty! Congrats to your beautiful daughter on graduating! She's gorgeous! :) Hugs, J
A HUGE congrats to your DD!! She looks so beautiful, all graduated and looking natural with those gorgeous roses among some elegantly pretty damask (of course!) pillows!!! You have every right to be proud. :D
This card is delightful, Colleen! (even with the Cristabel hair! I spied it) I think you slam-dunked those challenges ;). That's a great sentiment stamp. I need one that says "Wishing you a wonderful day!" That's the verse I'm always wishing I had to stamp on the insides of my cards, 'cause it works for birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, anniversaries and I know I'd use it all the time. I just don't have anything like that!
So if I can't find a "wonderful day" one, I'd *settle* for this one!
PS Is the fabric on those damask pillows Waverly? It looks familiar--if it is, I have like 5 yards of that fabric in my stash!!!
Wow what a wonderful idea, Colleen I love it..are these pots of colour like Twinkling H2Os we can get in Australia..I love working with them
