You're Invited

Hi everyone!  We had another hot day here on the East Coast, though not quite as intense as what we had on the weekend.  Like many places in the U.S. right now, we're not getting enough rain.  My garden is so thirsty.  My hydrangeas - OH!  My poor hydrangeas.  I have to water them twice a day sometimes, and they  are browning out here and there.  Makes me so sad.  :(

I made time to play in a few challenges today.  Now THAT turns my frown upside down!

Here are the challenges I entered, where all the inspiration took hold --

  • Papercraft Star - create a party project using a shabby/vintage style
  • Dynamic Duos - Crumb Cake and a color of your choice (mine is pink)

See the fork in the cake?  And that delicious pink frosting?  I was highly inspired by that.

Behind the Hero Arts' Fork and Spoon (LOVE this stamp - I made an anniversary card with it another time), I lightly stamped a chandelier from Unity - one of my new stamps.

I don't believe I've ever used a pearl flourish before.  I am ALWAYS slow to take on a trend.  :-)  This one is from Want2Scrap -- it's so pretty!

I made my own background with a Vintage Backgrounds stamp from Inspired By Stamping.  The sentiment is from a set that will debut a bit later this week.  :D  Have I told you lately how much I love Joanna's stamps?  Love!

I mentioned on my blog in late May that I delivered many of my handmade cards to a local boutique, where they are on consignment.  Well, today I found out that 28 have sold so far!  I get my first check next week.  (insert HUGE grin here!)

Thanks for coming by....I love when you visit!

This certainly looks like a winner to me...it's gorgeous and unique.

Great that your cards are selling...weren't we going to split the sales? LOL

HOT and DRY. We've had less than an inch of rain since 5/25. And, the heat is unbearable. Still in the 100's. My hydrangeas are doing the same as yours. Everything is looking bad and needs rain water.

Hope you're having a great 4th.
