Bits & Pieces Make Skinny Birthday Wishes

Happy Saturday, and to you in the USA, Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  Have any special plans?  My husband will be putting up our pool, and we're having mulch delivered, so I know my time will be spent outdoors.

I've got a card to share that is really simple, and I almost felt like I was 'cheating' by making it.  All the precut pieces of patterned paper and cardstock were in a little kit from one of those $1.00 Scrap Bags I get once in a while (from my Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Gail).    All I did was add some heart-shaped confetti, a rose, and a sentiment.

You can see the confetti better in the picture below.  The sentiment is from Daily Designs Sentiments / Papertrey Ink.

I wish you a marvelous weekend, and an even better week ahead!  Thanks for coming by.  =)

Stamps: Daily Designs Sentiments - PTI Paper: Sahara Sand, Pretty In Pink, dots and floral patterns - SU Ink: Versafine Onyx Black - Tsukineko Accessories & Tools: white satin ribbon rose - Darice; iridescent heart confetti - stash

I love tall skinny cards. There's nothing about this that looks like cheating. It's beautiful! I'm simply enjoying not being at work for three days. My hubby is grilling today. Stamping, gardening, going out with the dogs... so peaceful!

Colleen this is lovely. And please... never apologise for using a little kit from a scrap bag. You made it; had the idea to put it together and it's lovely. It's not always necessary to use expensive papers and supplies. It's also great to create something made from an offer you could not refuse. And I love it; it's gorgeous!

Oh excellent! Isn't it great when a card comes together like that! For a moment there I almost asked you how did you color in the paisley flowers...nice dollar bag! I wish your family a great Summer with that pool. We had a family party Sunday at our pool. I just love watching children swim.
