Little Grass Skirt

Hello everyone!  I want to give a shout-out to my Boston-area readers...you guys got 5.5 feet of snow already this season??  Holy guacamole!  That's just unbelievable.  Seems like that region is taking the brunt of the storms that have come up along the East Coast, pretty much bypassing our area in New Jersey.  (thank you!)

Here is a very un-winter-like card to share today:

I used some marvelous scraps to construct this:  stamped flower-with-sentiment, pink die cut flower, fringed green panel, snippet of green ribbon.  I added sprigs of greenery, and gems.  Boy, that was easy!

I'm getting a bit better at juggling work/family/card-making.  Obviously, priorities have to shift in order to accommodate it all.  I make time for prayer, and one of my prayers is for help prioritizing everything in my life.

Thanks so much for coming by today!

Stamps: Flower Patch - Stampin' Up! Paper: Pink Passion, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, white - Stampin' Up! Ink: Melon Mambo - SU Fibers: Pear Pizzazz ribbon - SU Accessories & Tools: Rock Fern punch - Martha Stewart; pink gems - Queen & Co.; flower punch - SU

Gorgeous flower and a cute touch with the fringe :) I hear you re: the juggling, albeit you have a few more day of work in your week than I do. Not easy, but as I tell myself, life has seasons and my kids are my priority as they will be gone before I know it!

I love unwinter cards! This is so cute with the tropical colors and little grass skirt. Just darling! You have been fortunate to avoid that heavy snow, I think. I wouldn't mind a little bit of white just for fun, but not for it to stick around too long.

This is very pretty!

My in-laws are pretty much shut-in! The pictures they have been taken from their window is insane.

So cute!! The colors are great and the skirt perfect for the flower. I should pray for prioritizing too, lately I totally loose myself and forget about the important things.

Such a pretty card with the vibrant colours and those green skirts makes your card so special, Colleen!

I love seeing snow behind the window but not when they melt and become slippery!

It takes time to find fine tune into your daily life, Colleen. I am fortunate enough to be able to work 2.5 days and the rest of the week, I spend time on housework, cooking and making cards!

I love this non-winter, bright card! That grass skirt is fantastic! I've been praying about the same thing! I want to keep God first, and everything I do to glorify Him. Sometimes card making, blogging, and commenting seem to take up more time than I think it should, but I don't really know how to spend less.

Your tropical card is so pretty, Colleen. The grass skirt is so cute. I would love to be in some warm climates right now. Glad the most of the snow has missed you. I would like a little, though.

Looks like you're prayers are being answered with a resounding yes! This is fun and I hope a reflection of your life. It's hard to juggle and easy to forget to have fun.
