I've got only a matter of hours until the CAS-ual Fridays challenge closes, and made a card in under an hour so I could play (quick by my standards!).
I took the challenge name literally, and created what looks like a package tied with string:
I used Our Craft Lounge's Vintage Traveler to stamp everything you see. Love that set! The twine is 'Cappuccino' from The Twinery. I cut a tiny slit at the top of the card, on the backside, and fed the twine through there.
Another angle...
...and that's it! I'll see you tomorrow with another Play Date Cafe post. :o) Have a great night!

Now, this IS fun! I love it! You could be really cheeky and put "P.S. I love you" as in the song on the back. Or, "Please Mr. Postman...." on it. I think I am getting carried away! Oh, "As I Write This Letter......" The name of the twine sounds so yummy and is the perfect color for this. I gotta stop commenting and go back to the photo and smile some more. A zillion years ago I went to Paris and this brings back some memories. I think I finally threw away some of the stuff, after several moves, that I had brought back. A little bag with a French name of the shop on it would have been great to play with, my metro pass which I was fined by the French govt for using more than once, and who knows what else I carried back. Bon!

How delightful! Definitely "brown paper packages tied up with strings".
You amaze me!! You create very well and fast under pressure. Not my stronger areas! LOL
I love your literal take on this!!!
Fun idea and take on the challenge :)
This is a fantastic creation, and it really does look like a package, a very pretty package! Thanks so much for playing at CAS-ual Fridays!
This is so adorable...I love the design...what a fun idea.
i just love your take on this challenge, colleen!
So cute! What a clever spin on the challenge :)
Wow, that is SUPER quick by my standards, too! I usually take hours to make one card! Turned out great, though! Love the Carte Postale theme and how you tied the twine on it like a package!
Hugs,
Naomi
Quick and easy...and oh, so clever! Great job, Colleen!
Oh, that is so cute, clever, and fun. I really love it. Don't you love making a card in under an hour? Have I ever done that? Very few times!
Clean and simple... clever and sweet... love this!!!
SUPER SUPER cute! LOVE that this looks like a package--great stamping too!! I love that you got this done before the deadline--YOU ROCK!
That is SO clever, Colleen! Oh, it looks just like a package and will really brighten someone's day--just like a real care package would! Looks like you had fun decorating it up. CUTE!
It made me think of a wrapped gift in vintage style. You added the perfect french touch. Subtle but definitely elegant; gorgeous!
Hugs,

Oh how fun!! This would take me hours to think up. I lover the twine.
Wow!!! Perfect take on the challenge! It certainly looks like a package! Love the parisian theme!
This is so creative. It looks so positively vintage. Looking at this makes me want to venture to Paris. It would be so fun to sit at one of the outdoor cafe's and people watch! Let's get Benzi's jet and plan a trip!!!! lol
Ce qui est beau, j'adore les tons de terre et sucré accents français! Haha...bet you didn't know I spoke French! Haha...I don't. :/ That's why I love Google Translator... However, I did think my comment need a little 'french flair'...maybe next time I'll stick to "french fries", lol!
My comment is 'This is beautiful, I love the earth tones and sweet french accents!" :)
Have a great day, my friend!
