Santa in a pink sleigh? I think Mrs. Claus may like it better with all the pearls, bling and snowflakes.
I sure had fun making a Christmas card in non-holiday colors. I used the paper-piecing technique to do the sleigh, using some of my beloved Luxury Stack designer paper from DCWV. I hoard that stuff. The background stripes behind the sleigh layer are also from that stack.
My challenges today:
Just so you can see what a difference lighting makes when taking your photos, check out this pic I took on our front porch with the morning sun:
Sure, there was plenty of light, but it's very shadowy and washed out. I prefer the top photo, which was taken on my kitchen floor, near a window with morning sun coming in, and the overhead kitchen lights turned on. Those overhead lights helped cast away some shadows.
Thanks for joining me today!
Happy Stamping,
Colleen

Cute, cute, cute!! Love the sleigh - it's such a fabulous image and you have coloured and decorated it wonderfully. The snowflakes around it are the perfect touch! Great card :D

Your card is gorgeous! I love making non-traditional Christmas colors too. Wonderful embellishments! Thanks for joining us at Tuesday Throwdown.
Colleen!! This is just gorgeous!! I LOVE the pastels on this Christmas card--that looks SO cool. And, hurray--what an awesome job with the pins challenge, my friend! Yours looks spectacular:) Love the pearls and glitter, they really glam up this sleigh for Mrs. Claus. She deserves it, doesn't she? Oh, and I have to thank you for introducing me to the Tuesday Throwdown. I'd never heard of it before and had fun checking it out. I played along with my own card for today!
Have a great weekend! I hope your weather is going to be as lovely as ours is supposed to be :)
I don't know about Mrs. Claus but I sure love that pink sleigh with all those beautiful pearled snowflakes!
Hi Colleen, what a beautiful card. I love the cute image and your papers are perfect. The bow and pin look amazing (although I always worry about pins too). Thanks for joining in with my "pastel Christmas" challenge over at cupcake craft challenge this week. Hugs, Denise x

Oh my! This is just beautiful! There is so much goodness here I can't even get out all the words! I love the colors, the elegance, the ribbon, the bow, the paper piecing, the perfect glitter alignment around your circle. I agree about the pin. I have the same issues with pics! Glad I am not the only one!
