A Peaceful Village

I'm playing in some challenges today, three to be exact.  This is something I am not used to.  I am accustomed to trying one challenge at a time, but I'm trying to up the ante for myself.
Here is my Peaceful Village:

And these are the challenges it was created for:
Playdate Cafe Challenge PDCC38 - to use the colors purple, lilac and lime green

AND Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog #33 - to use 7 of anything (the clouds).

Do you like my mulch around the trees, seen in the close-up shot? I used one of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch and cut it in half. Originally I picked green cardstock for that, then decided it would stand out more in brown. And thus it became mulch!

I used another one of the flowers from Boho Blossoms as 'bushes' behind the picket fence punch.

My mom is still here visiting from Texas but she goes home tomorrow. Today our plans include hanging out by my pool, and ordering hoagies for lunch (in other regions, these sandwiches are known as 'subs'). My mom ADORES them, but they don't make 'em in Houston like they do in the Philadelphia area!

Thanks for visiting with me today. I really appreciate it!

Happy Stamping,
Colleen

Adorable card! I love how you shadowed the fence and that mulch is so creative! I thought this would be a really hard challenge but you and everyone else have come up with some great cards! Have fun with your mom and I love hoagies too!

Woohoo, Colleen! Way to go on ALL 3 challenges. You did a super job with them all! I am eager to play in the PDCC challenge. Those colors look intriguing :) Your peaceful village is just adorable. I love all the different ways that you used punches to make it! Those houses are just the sweetest. (I have that set, too, but so far have only used the clouds from it. Silly me!! I really need to ink up those houses. I love them!). I wish you the best of luck on all those challenges. Hope you win something awesome! And have fun with your mom on the last day of her visit. Sounds like you are all having a fab time. Talk to you soon :)
