A Flourishes-Style Card

Aside from Stampin' Up!, my favorite stamp company is Flourishes LLC.  The stamps are gorgeous, the design team is fabulous, and the whole company image has such panache, if you ask me.

The card I made today looks like a Flourishes' card to me, but it was made with my new hostess set from SU called Because I Care.  I did follow a Flourishes sketch challenge for this, and I have also been inspired by other challenges:

I used my limited Copic marker selection to create a pink hydrangea, then used some iridescent glitter on it 'cause it just needed something extra.  I ran the pink striped designer paper piece through the Big Shot with the Finial Press embossing folder, used Flower Fusion Sizzlit to create some flowers, and scrunched up my ribbon - first time I've done ribbon that way, and my attempt looks a bit haphazard.  Think I'll do better next time.  :)

I am quite pleased with the card; hope you like it too!

Happy Stamping,

Colleen

Stamps:  Because I Care
Paper:  Nana's Kids by DCWV for all dp's; Whisper White
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black
Punches:  Modern Label
Other:  Flower Fusion Sizzlit, oval and scalloped oval nesties by Spellbinders, Copic markers, glitter, pink seam binding ribbon from Martha Stewart, brads by SU, dimensionals, Big Shot, Finial Press embossing folder
